Springfield Haunts

I really don't like Springfield Heights very much. Except for all the "free" land, which I finally obtained. So...it is all more or less going into storage to make room for a giant Halloween display. The Halloween stuff is pretty much the only seasonal event stuff I keep out year round. Moving all my Halloween stuff will free up some regular Springfield land. I guess Springfield Heights wasn't all bad after all. Just mostly.

Take that, ghost of Richie Rich!

That's a great idea! Or Springfield Heights could be a neat place to have our Special event zone for each holiday .. I can imagine some amazing Holiday Zones for Christmas ... :)

I'm just using mine for storage. I have all my SH buildings out for the XP bonus, a small house farm and tennis courts. It looks like a mess. I just wish they would move the LZ back to towns center so it wouldn't be the first thing my neighbors see.

Mne is just a hot mess right now with storage and mansions I'm trying to upgrade. I love the idea of a themed area, though.

Check your XP bonus, then store your SH buildings, and check your bonus after...

It's critically important to remember that Springfield Heights is run by Cookie Kwan. You really don't want to get on her bad side.

I like the idea of using SFH for holiday displays. Also I would prefer if we can set a landing zone during non-event times. I don't like the landing zone on the tunnel either. But would like to have it focused on my downtown. For now I moved the railyard stuff to the tunnel area so I don't have to go through my town to get to them on the farthest point from the tunnel.

I been grinding springfield heights resources pretty non stop over the last week trying to get me to 1 billion so mine is a mess as well. I had some stuff going on but with some buildings and my monorail stations in SH but I started filling up the land with SH buildings trying to max them out .

    717 million and climbing :)

I love this idea :) I have been musing about what to do with SH in my main town as, with the best will in the world, I'm not going to be getting to a billion in my lifetime..... I did think about getting all the land, storing as much SH crud as I could and then using it for a giant whackey-races style monorail park. But I like this idea much better  I may well "borrow" it if you don't mind :D

Keeping this very important advice in mind, I'm making mine into a Palm Beach-type rich resort area. I'm moving my "new money" people up there, and the D'Amico summer home (though it was funny to have it right next door to their regular house). "Old Money" (Burns, Quimby, Radioactive Man's regular estate, most oc the mobsters) are staying in Springfield.

I do have a "haunted area" with my Halloween stuff and cemeteries, as well as a "Christmas Village" that is kept out all year round. I still have dones of decorations for both to put out during the holidays.

Side note - I do wish we could decorate businesses for Christmas as well as homes. Especially retail establishes.

Whoa that's a great idea. I might do that for every event.

This is the same plan i went with. My SH is done, until they release the rest of that land back there.

I hide most of my Christmas stuff behind SF mountain until is time to display it. Then I'll put most around the mall, like Santa is available for kids pictures.

Always going for the realism angle!
All my designs look unfinished because i can't place as many plants, streetlights, and fences as i would like. PLEASE REMOVE THE LIMIT, EA!

I already have themed areas in my SF. I have cleared out a space for Halloween this year already. My SH is half a mess. If I had the energy, changing that whole area to a themed section would be cool.

Using Springfield Heights as a seasonal area is pretty brilliant. Too bad I've already filled that area with stuff.
