It takes me 4 days to clear out the Monorail bonuses, then I use the remaining 3 days to work on Springfield Heights.
As much as people complain about how crafting is a permanent mechanic of the game, I think this is the brilliance of the new system. It gives us something meaningful to do and work on in between events!
Did a nuke a few days ago & slowly putting my town back together. I figure I have until next week, maybe the week after at the outside (given the dates of the 2 Halloween eps) to redo the whole thing. Put in an "event zone" that I can keep cleared out so every new event I have a fixed spot for the new stuff, then I can move it out after. Put a few old ToH things in there for now.
Largely taking a break from the game. I only check it a couple times a day once I've gotten my monorail crafting done for the week (which is usually done by day 3-4). Tennis court farming...I had said I would stop once I got to 200% bonus, but with the funds needed for the IRS building, I feel the need to keep increasing the bonus. So I'll probably only stop when they make me stop.
Main town one hour tasks using the job manager to to build up some $$, B town just hit level 30 and SH so started crafting. Also tidying up design of B town. Monorail on hold.
I nuked and rebuilt to be more accommodating to the monorail without it overpowering my town, but now I kinda hate parts of my town and don't really love any one area as it looks too cluttered, so I may nuke again.

This was exactly my problem. I experimented for a bit until i really really liked something.

I nuke way too often; I get bored with things and I really love designing towns.
I really liked my last version of town but then the monorail came and I ended up hating how it looked with the monorail in the middle of town and didn't have the patience to place and shift things.... plus the moving of the landing zone really bugged me.... even tho my neighbors may land on the SH entrance, I was landing on "center" which was a section of town that I didn't really wanna look at every day.
I'm like 99% certain I'm gonna nuke again, I just need to figure out what I'm gonna do so I can keep loving my town instead of loathing it.
I've been working on designing my town. I've also been building up my tennis courts, doing some work on Springfield Heights, buying up more land, and getting through the Rail Yard tasks.
Today I'm taking the day off since I hit one of the tasks to send a bunch of townspeople to do a 24 hour protest and decided to send everybody instead of just the required number to complete the task.
Normal non event day for me is to visit KL to clear tickets and pop balloons then go back to SF to clear everything from overnight. Then I run through my task book and send any of those that I can. Everybody that's left gets a 4 hour task. Repeat all that at some point during the day. In the evening when I'm watching TV I do the same except after I send out anybody with a task I switch to SH where I send everybody I can to work on materials except the awards where I only use Bumblebee Man. Anybody not on a task or working in SH gets sent on a 12 hour overnight job. Sh workers work on materials for as long as I'm either done watching TV or I'm tired of working on SH. Then I send the SH on 8 hour overnight tasks and shut the game down and plug my tablet in to charge overnight.
- just got to the 1B mark in SH, building reserves to buy junk in the store, cars, walls etc.
- building up my cash reserves
- continuing rebuilding my town (nuked right after monorail takedown)
- finished getting my 5 donuts a day early, going to take a break on recycling next week.
Hoping we get another week before the update drops
