Scratch out what I said earlier. I just force closed my game and now I have a tiny bit of a tinted screen. It's better than nothing I suppose

Hmm I guess once you get put of the app and go back in, it looks more spooky like the corners are more darker

That year with the purple haze, rolling fog effect is still my favorite event! I miss the fun.

Aren't they going to get too many complaints regardless of what they do? At least make it look presentable for a Halloween update again.

It was really hard to see through the fog the second year they did a Halloween update. They had to lighten up the fog so we could see our towns. It was a valid complaint most likely made by thousands.

I am getting the dark shadows around the frame of the game now, I wasnt when the update started.
