"Well.... Got dammit. There is supposed to be a damn video there. "
Of?
An Extreme Engineering episode of people building a bridge.
It's 43 minutes long! I got as far as "These men are.." I filled in the remaining 42 minutes and 50 seconds in my head. It is actually very interesting and has significantly improved both my bridge design and building efficiency. Many thanks. I would recommend that others watch.

OMG yes I am giving you an OMG RS. The end is the best with Moe's and thanking their lady love, so sweet. They are tough as nails but so squishy on the inside. Reminds me of another guy here who acts all mean and such.
OK now would you like to share the secret how to embed the video. I try the youtube codes and will not show so my only option is using the url codes to the link.
Perty please with some shuga on top, can you show me the way.
Youtube changed a lot of it's nomenclature recently.
They now have it set up so that the embed link is youtube.com (which is what this forum will support) and the shared is youtu.be.com which this forum will not support.
And now paste it with the youtube buttons from above in the EA forum on both sides like this :
Edited to make it a bit easier to follow.
Edited a second time in response to RS below. I agree that if you are in youtube and you can get the direct image, it should work. However, many people are redirected to different youtube players from links outside of youtube and those player links won't work with EA. I assumed that that was the problem above and this should fix that problem.
Step 1. Find video on YouTube page.
Step 2. Copy the url from your browser, NOT the share link YouTube gives you.
Step 3. Click the YouTube box that is right beside Google and Flash.
Step 4. Paste url.
Step 5. Click YouTube box again.
Step 6. Submit.
Whatever that other person said is way to complicated.

Very useful. I have quoted this in the FAQ as well. Perhaps if a "Sharing Pics/Videos FAQ" were created, this would also be perfect for that (I posted Flickr/Photobucket in FAQ already). I will use this as a reference for the Forum Index as well. Kudos on a proper explanation and why it was funky.

TL;DR
Water first
Now add road over water
Notice where the road turns to bridge and where it doesn't is determined by which had water under it.

Here's an example :
The Shared button on video gives you one of the new links that doesn't work :
You have to find a youtube link that is not player specific. Luckily Reddit fits that bill.
From reddit button under the share/embed/etc expand buttons under video :
Grab the link up to but not including the ampersand (&) :
And now paste it with the youtube buttons from above in the EA forum on both sides like this :

Your problem was indeed that it was aimed at a different youtube viewer app.
I looked at the page code to get the video you were trying to post.
http://www.youtube.com/v/YVQhkH8f5Cg&feature=youtu.be
Removed the &feature=youtu.be and posted in a computer browser.
On bottom right of browser opened up menu & gained menus as above to get proper viewer through reddit.
Here it is.

Apologize for the directions. When I get more time ill try to write something up a little more coherent.
