How bored are you with the lull in the event?

Prev13
I could really go for a new level, I was sure we were going to get one on Tuesday but no :(

I'm doing pretty good with it. I've built around a dozen levels worth of story buildings while the event has been going and I'm curious how close to caught up with released buildings/characters I can get by time the event is finished.

My priority right now is finishing the Evil Shopkeeper tasks for 20 free donuts, THEN constant recycling for 16 monorail tracks and 5 free donuts every week, THEN grinding zombies for wailing walls increasing my bonus and bramble bushes to build my giant hedge maze; THEN completing the THOH cumulative gummy prize because i haven't obtained TentaCorp yet.

So NO, I DON'T need more content at the moment and I'm not bored at all. Also, I'm 6th on my leaderboard for sharing purple blobs! And I've got some serious neighbors! (Looking at you, Colombo, Brett, & Neuro! How about sleeping occasionally?!? :P )

IF i actually ever get a lull from giving out blobs, I'm designing stuff in town, because all this new stuff is fun to integrate in my SF. And THEN I'm taking pics and posting in the Showcase section. So there's that too. This event is just busy enough without being a chore. Love it!

'Not at all - still going on Personal Prizes'

I've still got about 800 to go before I get the Tenta-Corp HQ, after that I will concentrate on upgrading the campfire. :D

Sorry, you don't have a clue about me or my town. I already have Tenta-Corp, so I have 6 days until there's new prizes. I have more than enough hedges, etc and the Daily Challenges barely require any work. Bored, bored, bored.

I get the strong impression you don't like the complaint threads :). You have to admit they have decreased a fair bit this year and the game has improved. EA has even taken a lot of feedback from this forum.

While they are technically complaints, the tone has changed as well, a lot of what I'm reading is quite constructive and I hope the feedback is taken.

The consensus from the general comments made in these thread seems to be:
    - game play and pace of event are right with this event
    - what's lacking is new content to craft, new content to buy, new characters and quality of prizes

My impression that people who are bored just want something related to the event to work towards that's new. Easily solved by changing the balance of returning vs new content in the next event.

If you think there's a lull in complaints, I'm glad you noticed. But it's bittersweet after coming from a wave of premature whining at event release. This is one of the most accommodating events ever, yet the complainers always find some hair to split or nit to pick. It's nauseating how some are never pleased with anything but perfection - that simply can't be obtained.

But boredom cries often come from those who can't find some way to entertain THEMSELVES, and must have someone ELSE constantly appeasing them with a shiny new thing. Always someone else's job to make them happy. Just, ew. Particularly when we are mid event.

Not saying that's anyone HERE. Because I'm all clueless n' stuff. But I'm glad YOU get me!
    Happy tapping!

Happy tapping to you as well. Am still holding out hope that they've decided to hide content this event and will release surprises in an update.

I'd be happy with a "bonus time" task to collect after getting all the prizes (even if it's not donuts, at least it's something to do).

Personally I finished this section with 8+ days to go, and that was also whilst doing side-quests for Homer & Bart, etc. This week's Monorail will be another couple of days of stuff to do, but a Gil deal partway through an event (that generates nightmares, the easiest thing we can tap) isn't the answer a lot of us were hoping for. :)

October has been a very busy month for me at work, so I'm sort of grateful for the lull giving me a chance to catch up a bit. I cut Act 1 super close (I think I got the last prize with a few hours to spare). I shouldn't be cutting this one that close, but am still going for the final building.

But then, I've never minded the downtime. It gives me a chance to build up my bank. I still have some plots of land to purchase and I have yet to buy any aspirational buildings, even though I have been playing for almost three years! I'm also finally taking the time to clean up some sections of my town that have grown cluttered while integrating the monorail. My downtown is taking shape. I still need to redesign around the Springfield Heights entrance which has always been blocked. So I have enough to keep me busy still.

I was expecting the update to be a new level, though. I suppose the week isn't over yet. EA has generally been releasing new levels in the second half of every event.

The one thing I did get done during the lull is I finally maxed out my SH currency after going crazy on tennis courts. I have a feeling that the next level will require it. Like the last one did.

I'm not bored at all. I'm working toward earning more items so I can craft more stuff, and focused pretty hard on it.

My gf is still working toward the personal prizes too, and this is the first event she has enjoyed since the Super Hero one... so I'm glad the pace is not as tough as past ones this year as that helps her continue to play.

Because I have multiple Springfields (NOT feeder towns, fool that I am) I am very relieved at the relatively relaxed pace so I can keep on goal in all my towns. Even so, I've given up working on SH and the monorail for the duration of the event to keep what sanity I have left :D

I'm still working towards the last prize. Then there's the shopkeepers challenges for free donuts, and between those I'm working on leveling up my campfire and crafting wailing walls and spooky walls for the bonuses. I'm hoping to reach 200% before the event ends. :-)

Yesterday I noticed that I would have the Tenta Corp tower today. My reaction? "Well that was easy". And then, the thing doesn't trigger any task or any story! Why was that the last prize of the act? Bart skin should have been last, then at least I could have looked forward to finishing. I was saving donuts and impatiently waiting for this event all year, and not only do I not feel challenged, I don't think I will be buying any donuts. I have bought donuts at the other THOH events. There was always something I "had to have". I am really hoping that act 3 brings me the happiness I crave. Crafting an item to add to your multiplier feels like a consolation prize, not something to look forward to daily.

Hate to say it, but I'm pretty much over Halloween this year. I've crafted over 30 wailing walls, so I'm set there. I've finished this rounds challenges and have a six day gap till the new ones hit. Not looking forward to act three, honestly. I really want the U.B.O., but outside of that, everything in act three looks pretty *meh* to me. Sorry, just not excited about Holiday Homer.

Only thing half way keeping my attention is the potential deals they might roll out before it finishes. And if yesterday's overpriced Gil's deal is any indication of what we have to look forward to...I'm over Halloween this year.

I'm still really happy with Halloween. I still want loads of hedges and I'm not able to get them with only spawning brains. To level up I have to finish bunnies, zombies and snakes too. I like the chill pass of the event. And I never get bored anyway. Too many books in this world I haven't read yet.
