tentacle count changed?

My understanding is that regular kids do 1-2 damage while premium skins do 3-4 damage (or something like that), so it's somewhat random. I've had times where I send all 4 kids and they do 6-8 damage, with only Bart having his Clockwork skin.

I have all regular kids and I noticed that they were inflicting more damage than before. I thought it might be related to campfire upgrades.
