Mine doesn't freeze but the screen flashes. At first I thought it might be my nook but I uninstallled the game and reinstalled it and it is still there. It only happens with tsto
My iPad Mini has been crashing for months. Especially when I'm trying to do Friend Actions. It's actually not been as bad since the latest update.
When I first started playing it was my Android tablet that kept crashing. Oddly, I haven't had as bad a problem with it over the same time period. Just the occasional crash now and then.
Sometimes that means a memory issue with you device. You can try the following to see if it helps:
1.
- clear out as much memory as you can (pics, apps you don't use, music etc.)
- try to keep it so only tsto and required system apps are running
- after you clean out device, make sure to restart it
2.
- once in game, try to run it in "light mode" i.e. store NPCs, keep characters on indoor tasks and store any unneeded decorations/buildings.
3.
- if still no luck and can't get in game, you may have a corrupt install: force close app, uninstall, restart device, reinstall
- if that works, try 2. to make it smoother
If none of that works, you may need a newer device if your device is old and doesn't have enough memory. If you think your device is fine, you'll probably have to contact EA support.

After the lag of the last event I'm enjoying smooth sailing so far!
