Unfortunately, Minimum Wage IS a joke.

And raising it isn't going to help. When I started working in college Minimum Wage was $3.35 an hour. Then it went up a little bit and I had a little more money every week... And then the price of everything I bought crept up until I wasn't any better off than I was before.

Each time Minimum Wage crept up a little the prices quickly crept up to match - each time faster than before. By the time the last such raise hit my paycheck they'd already raised the prices in anticipation to compensate.

The price of goods would have increased regardless of whether or not your minimum wage increased.

I work financials for a living and I could probably write a book about the state of this.

But I'm here because I play tapped out. And I don't wanna lose any friends lol

We don't really need politics here.

But yes, I chuckled at the $15 minimum wage joke. Hooray for 15 donuts!

Wait... Minimum wAge in the US is $7???? Holy crap

I'm in Australia and I just checked our minimum wage is $17 an hour. Maybe that's why everything is expensive here
