In such circumstances: How does SH secret XP bonus multiplier work?

just having one raises it.
each building raises it just like the other items in the game
except for the private island (where level 1 doesnt count, the rest does) any level will give the multiplier.
you need to place them

Easy enough to check. Put your SH buildings out. Collect on a white house. Put SH buildings away. Collect again on another white house. Look at the difference.

I've empirically checked the total 150% from having all the buildings from the first SH expansion. Not verified the new buildings though.
