What did you get for your daughter/son for santa or wise men?
I don't have human children, but, as my avatar and profile interests suggests, I'm a crazy cat lady. So my child is a cat, my baby girl Azrielle. Yes, like the cat in the smurfs, but its also Hebrew for "whom god helps". I rescued her from a shelter last Christmas, the day before she was going to be put to sleep. It was kind of a Christmas miracle for both her and I. You see, I was supposed to get this other kitten who was in a foster home and not in a shelter on death row. At the last second, there was a miscommunication and he was given to someone else. The person who had found the other cat zipped by the shelter and took a snapshot of this tiny little orange tabby cat with big golden colored eyes that I immediately fell in love with. 35 minutes later, she was at my house in a crate with a bag of kitten food and vaccination records, a tiny little runt that was 5 months old but looked maybe 3.5 months. I had suffered several losses that year, the death of two of my best friends that I grew up with and still hung out with daily, a year before, before I moved out of town. Anyway, I rescued Azrielle, but really, she saved me. Raising her and growing an unexplainable bond. We can communicate without talking, or with talking either way we understand each other... She's the light of my life.
Anyway, for Christmas she got a Kitty City (expandable cat tree), a Bergen cat scratcher with a ball the spins around endlessly, a gigantic warehouse size thing of like a hundred cans of fancy feast, and a new ornament on the tree in her honor (its a ginger cat that jingles).

Eesh, me neither, hopefully not for a few more years! I've only been engaged a short while, I don't even want to get married soon let alone have babies. I'm only 22 and I know plenty of people my age with babies, and even when I was 15 I had (same aged) friends with babies. I'm not dissing on early motherhood (although 15 is way too early, I'd say 21 at least, 18 at the very least... Ugh I'm 22 about to be 23 in a few weeks and I'm way too irresponsible, I really won't be ready for kids for at least 4-5 years... The thought of it happening sooner than that scares me.
That's the cutest thing ever! And the story itself was also so cute.
I have difficulty choosing cats or dogs, because I've always had a dog at some point (my first was a 1 year old German Shepherd for my 1st birthday). But we've mostly always had more than one cat in the house.
The most we had at one time was 9 cats. My sisters, mine, 2 kittens from my cats first litter and 5 from her second litter. Dinner time was always a dreaded daily event, that's for sure.
