EA, ya like money or nah? (Re: monorail)

I was lucky enough to play through the monorail on my main game but fully support something like this for folks who didn't get a monorail for their game.

I would also support bringing the event back like was was done with the Stonecutter's Black Market sale. I was glad to have this way to get my Stonecutters since I started playing after the first event long ended, maybe something like that for folks wanting to build their monorails.

I am in the exact same state of mind. I missed the event and want to go for this one in particular. I'll pay donuts if needed, but I want to go through the steps of the Monorail. I hope EA see this and give us another chance!!!!!!

EA should have a market place for people to sell items they no longer want, for donuts, and charge a small percentage extra, like five donuts as a fee to allow you to buy from another player.
Make Nightmare Pile like Zombie Sandwich. All kids trick or treat at once.

how are you getting weekly donuts from the mono rail task?

do you need the glass recycling plant? is it really worth it?

id assume you need to keep a ton of characters doing about 1000 one hour tasks just for a measly 2 donuts or something?

Monorail is a tough one since it isn't just a single building they can stick on sale. They'd need to do some kind of package deal with the dump, railyard, and all 3 recycling centers and even that would still only just be what is needed to make tracks. They'd need to also have at least 1 of the current 5 stations or a new 6th station (Easter maybe?) available at the same time.

Is there a chance the track could bend?

    What about us brain-dead slobs?

At the risk of sounding like a meanie......
I don't think they should bring things back,......If you weren't playing then you missed out
There's stuff in the game that I see in neighbours' towns from before I was playing and I see it as a badge of honour for those who have been playing longer
That's why I didn't buy the Mapple store when it was recently offered, because the only people who should have it are the folks who were playing back then,

I don't know why they can't make a section in the store with the Rail Yard and three or four stations. All the other stuff (the dump, the depots, and the modules) can unlock by completing the quests.

    THIS!

I didn't buy the Mapple store either, for the same reason - I wasn't playing when it came out first.

That said, maybe Monorail (or stonecutters) might become annual events like Christmas, Valentine's, Halloween etc.
We need stuff to fill in the summer.

If I could give you mine as a Christmas gift I would.

I stored all mine a few weeks after the monorail event ended

I think of it kind of like Disney's vault - sure, they could probably sell a lot more if they keep things around all the time, but they're able to artificially inflate demand (and therefore prices) by keeping them as limited-time only.

I would make it a permanent part of the game. They could give out the project board for free. It would prompt you to build the Springfield Dump for cash. Once you have that you would grind junk to build the Metal Depot, then grind out Junk and Metal to build the Plastic Depot, then Junk, Metal, and Plastic to build the Glass Depot. Once you have all those you'd grind out materials to build the Rail Depot, and then one of the Monorail Stations. Once you've grinded all that out it would generate track pieces like it does now. They could offer another one of the Monorail Stations for donuts, and leave the others as limited time items for those that played the original event.
