I went ahead and built a complete rail system in SH based on the assumption that EA will someday allow the two towns to be connected either thru the mountains or over them. If not, I have two finished systems running for the convenience of the Springfield folks. And I have about 30 curves left over, which I'll use to expand the Springfield line as my town grows. No idea how many pieces I have but the inventory continues to grow. I'm sure my total track count is well into the hundreds. I just wish now I had gotten the Xmas station. Oh well........

It took about 252 pieces of track (if I counted right), but I finally got all 4 stations connected. :D

At least until they add the ability to run it into SFH. :P
Congratulations! I recently finished my monorail with only 3 stations, so I know how you feel. Whew! :-D

I passed on the Christmas one. I was low on donuts and decided 4 was enough for now.

I still just have my original little monorail loop. Two extra stations are tucked away in a corner.

    In storage I have:

    117 straight tracks
    87 curves
    77 s ones
    103 short ones

Who knows if I'll ever get motivated to build a big one.

I had all my stations connected before the end of the event. Now, as my buddies generate more garbahj, I add new stretches that will eventually meet up after I get all the required pieces. I have quite a neat system set up. I wish, EA would allow us to go to anyone's SF to view their towns, not just friends.

I've had my 4 stations connected up in loops around my towns for weeks. They just looked like a drunk designed them with all the curves and S curves wiggling back and forth like a roller coaster.

I just finally replaced the last of the twists in my primary town with straight pieces yesterday. Now I have to replace all the short pieces with long ones.

In my secondary town I need 16 more straight pieces to take out all the kinks so it will be at minimum 1 more round of crafting before that happens - and probably a lot more given how few straight pieces I get each week.

It's too bad EA can't come up with a simple bartering system within the game to allow players the option of trading track pieces for other items or even for different track pieces. All these curves are just a waste. My SH system looks like the Runaway Mine Train at Six Flags but at least it is fully functional.

I took a ride on your monorail a couple days ago. I think you have the longest track of any of my neighbors. It must have been a lot of work winding it through all of the pre-existing buildings.

    Nice work! :D

Congrats Samaranth01 on your completed monorail! I also just laid the final track on mine - 242 track pieces, 3 stations, 5 substations, and the Rail Yard all connected. At least until more land is added or buildings that should be 'in the loop' lol. And 203 assorted curves in storage  Add me to the list of those who'd like a way to sell/exchange them for something useful.

Well done! I need five more long pieces to connect my five stations. Hopefully next week -- unless the game trolls me (again) with a one or two long-piece week.
