Jeez, I missed another glitch. Last one I was able to take advantage of was the extra launch pad. Not very useful.

Would someone care to say what the glitch was?

Somebody please add me to your pm list.
it would just make you sad if we say you :P with the glitch you were "allowed" to place everything in your inventory infinite times, so if you had one stonecutter fence, you could place 3k if you wanted too. didnt work for unique items, and premium items would still cost donuts, SH items would cost SH currency, and normal items would cost money/nothing if it was craftable only

I think I got my pm because I had posted somewhere on the forum within an hour of the original (now deleted) post. It is easier to contact people on the forum whose names you have in front of you. I had to search the forum to find the handful of my friends who post on here. This was time consuming when I could have been making monorail tracks.

Getting messaged from a list would be great - but what if the person with the list hadn't visited the forum to find out there was a glitch? It's a bit like a Wheel of Fortune in a way. I've missed out on a few good glitches but hey that's how it goes.

Thanks for the explanation, grumps. Wish I had known.

I sent out about 100 PM's last night. Apologies for those who were not in the know or missed out. I tried, but there's only so much one man can do.

If you did get a PM from me, disregard:
    lcxyE0D.gif

Classic EA to clean that up so quickly.

    *waits for pm from SWK*

I had a laser focus on SH Tennis Courts. Still cost 10 statues per, but I managed to grind hard and added nearly 100% to my multiplier! Also modern mansions. This added 50% to my xp multiplier.

Can't wait to try out the XP collider when the next update hits.
    I like routine!

What's weird is how this went undiscovered until now. There wasn't really any real trick to it, just Sleep, which you'd think tons of people would have done just by chance all along. Also weird is how EA shared the same weakness as the Borg from the famous Star Trek 2-parter, when their tour de force battle sequence ended with, "Sleep, Data! Sleep!"

Anyway, my Android device has always totally reloaded the game from scratch each time it turns back on in any way, so no inventory joy here. Regular internet sleeps real hard, yes, TSTO no. So some of us still have something left to strive for. That's okay, though. It's karma. (This WASN'T the best glitch ever).

I suspect an employee briefly went rogue. Just a hunch.

Wonder if we could nominate said person as employee of the month....

Hearing about what people did with this, and I'm sitting here thinking I should have made more than just rose bushes. I guess I can make a field of roses. So many roses.

Well i must say i really appreciate how the community did unite and try to spread the word on the down-low.

I got a couple PMs and passed some on myself. Obviously we can't get to everyone, but there was a solid effort so if you didn't hear, I'm sure it wasn't intentional. I'd have told everyone if i could.

For those who didn't get it, the effect was a "back door to the stock room", where you could buy repeatedly, anything that wasn't a single-only item. Anything with a price tag still cost its own currency, but expired limited time currency items cost either 0 or $1.

I stocked up on rainbow pickets, bramble hedges, corn stalks, and all things monorail. These things had no price or $1. Some other old holiday bits too.

Couldn't use on tapball because of their recent rerelease for donuts.

Was also able to "clone" fully leveled up SH buildings. This caused the 10 of 10 counter for these buildings to turn red, because i now have more than 10. Evidence I've exploited the system!

Thanks to the K for cluing us in.

But hey, how fast did they respond to plug this leak?? Wow someone IS watching...
Ironic it takes forever to fix things that IRK us, but these fun things get fixed within 24 hrs.

All my designs look unfinished because i can't place as many plants, streetlights, and fences as i would like. PLEASE REMOVE THE LIMIT, EA!

Funky fun mayhem... not really into hoarding or cluttering up my already overcrowded townscaping,
but glad plenty enjoyed some pleasure 8)

By the time I was able to log in to my pm this opportunity was already gone, but thank you thank you none the less. Wistfully I would have loved some cactus patches for my desert area

Botanical Gardens. I love them, and they give me a large splotch of green but only count as one "item" toward my max item limit. ... So I can cover an area that would have taken several trees. The style won't work in much of my town, but I'll see what I can do.

Didn't have much time to be in my towns these past few days, but got some of those gardens and more pastel fences cuz I didn't have enough to circle the area I had them in before. Some Rad mobiles and some Duff Beer Trucks. And a bunch of pink benches that I want to eventually use for some 3D work in KL (where my "item count" is no problem. )

Thanks again for the PM, I was able to get a lot of cactus patches, cane fields and debris. And best of all, I finally got more castle walls, I first started playing during the **** event, so I was only able to grab 6 of them then. No I can finally try to make something nice with the castle bits.

I tried spelling "pm 4 glitch" with flowers in my town, so my active neighbors had a chance to see, but it turns out I'm not a great designer, and by the time I was done, the glitch lasted about 5 more minutes.

But does the monorail have to stop at every station? Looks really good, though.

Ah, so that's why the game goes to the SH tunnel now when I re-open the app, instead of where I left it. Guess that was the easiest way for them to fix this...
Sorta seems like it always should have opened there. Hopefully they'll properly fix the glitch and let us start where we last were (but with the store closed). I wonder how this affects interrupted dialogues and scratchers.

I thank the PM hoard. I got my word from reddit, which didn't have their post deleted until much later (the next morning, I think). I'll try to contribute to the circulation next time.
