I'm reading as much as I can of this thread! It's great! But I'd love to just get quick answers to the following three concerns.

True or False: Casino chips -- I only have until the end of ACT 1 to get Lucius as a prize. There are new prizes added each Act, for different color chips.

True or False: Crafting -- I have the entire EVENT to get to Level 3 crafting. That's as high as it goes. (E.g., If I want Nero's fountain and life-size Spruce Goose, I have until the end of the Event to get them.) They're not adding more "crafting" stuff.

True or False: Burns Casino -- I have until the end of the EVENT to get that Black Diamond Players Club. That's as high as it goes.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.

True for all three, I believe. At least that's how I understand it.

I don't know for sure but more than likely this is true because this is the way it has always been (with the exception of Superheroes but that time it was necessary for the storyline)

True, unless they change it via update, crafting is independent of the acts.

True, this is independent of the acts too, acts only effect main prizelines

So is the general consensus that it's fine to save up game tokens for Act 2?

I'm not highly interested in using them for bonuts and I don't feel the need to try to get more keychains/coasters asap.

But I'm not going to lose out on anything by hoarding the coins, am I?

Hi all, I did some math on Gaming Moe's just to see what the payouts are. I spun 50 times in a row, and did that 3 times for 150 total spins.

    Probabilities
    Chips Average: 114.6/spin
Keychains Average: .24/spin OR 1 for every 4 spins
Coaster Average: .32/spin OR 1 for every 3 spins
Courtesy Chip Average: .12/spin OR 1 for every 8 spins

    Cheating
Change mug to Barney face: 1 in 25 spins
Shake machine: 1 in 25 spins

    Combinations
    Mug/Vodka/Vodka : 1 in 6 (30)
    Mug/Mug/Vodka : 1 in 8 (20)
    Vodka/Mug/Jar : 1 in 8 (0)
    Gun/Gun/Gun : 1 in 10 (230)
    Jar/Mug/Jar : 1 in 12 (40)
    Vodka/Vodka/Vodka : 1 in 12 (175)
    Mug/Gun/Gun : 1 in 12 (50)
    Mug/Mug/Mug : 1 in 12 (145)
    Mug/Barney/Barney : 1 in 16 (60)
    *Barney/Barney/Barney : 1 in 25 (400)

*This is the probability of getting a true B/B/B. Adding in the cheating probabilities, it is 3 in 25 spins.

For the daily challenges, would it be worth it to skip and hope for an event currency reward? I just got one for 1,350 red chips for today. Previously I've been just going for donuts.

I'm not sure daily challenges for donuts are around right now, it may be that they are casino currency only, until the event ends. Like the old daily bonus switched to event currency only when an event was on.

They still contribute to the donut bonus for completing so many though :)

Firstly, there is a link to the Burns' casino daily challenges on the front page, which DOES include donuts as prizes.

@Psdance: I can only tell you what I did when I got a challenge for 1350 red chips, then you will have to decide for yourself what to do!
Daily Challenge for 1350 chips - skipped
Changed to collect krustyland tickets - avoided going to krustyland that day.

Following day - received a new challenge for 1 donut, so I was able to skip the krustyland challenge and it gave me a challenge for 3 donuts :-)

I don't feel that the challenge for 1350 chips is particularly useful and I will swap if I get another one. However I did do one where I got gaming tokens and another one for martinis. Hope this helps you to make your mind up!

Edit: double ninja'd by pichu AND suetopia!

Just wanted to say thanks for the info. I'd like to share what has happened to me. When I first asked this I was going to use my feeder town and proceed with the chips and skip it in my main town to see how things would play out. But when I woke up to play I totally forgot and tapped the Burns casino and collected my chips and completed the task.

I then got the same task again, but this time I had to skip it and got a martini prize task, which I completed.

In the other town, got another chip task again. But I had already sent Ned into Burns casino for the night. Instead of tapping it, I stored Ned's home hoping that I could swap out the task. This did not work. So I had to collect the prize and move on.

TL:dr - Ended up doing the task challenge and getting the chip reward. Skipped a task and got a martini reward. Storing character after the challenge is completed does not allow you to skip the completed task.

CLETUS DICE DEN ! NUMBERS !

OK this is tricky because of the "cheats" we get. Using ordinary dice probabilities and the payouts shown in the game instructions, the best tactics would be to go for 5 or 9 - they would give the best long run return. But there are a lot of cheat chances and no formula for that, so maybe the way it works is that the number you pick doesn't matter as the cheats even things out.

In practice here's what I got from spending 50 gold coins in the dice den (picking number 5 each time):

    10 wins of 200 = 2000
    15 cheats of 400 = 6000
total 8000 from 50 rolls av 160 per coin spent
plus 20 coasters and 12 keyrings

This looks like a much better return than we were getting from Moe's so for now I'll be spending in the dice den instead.

According to LPN the latest patch has now reduced the chances at Cletus Dice Den, so seems that the better payout was unintended and meant to be same as Moe's

I played 220 times and only got 4 cheats in the updated game, for one in every 55 games. Before that, I cheated about every in 5 games.

It did seem odd how often I was winning this morning, I wish I had made hay while the sun shined now!! I was also able to cheat an enormous amount of times this morning, it was getting uncomfortable!!

I have been keeping stats for Moe's, as the larger the sample, the more accurate the numbers should be.

    Main town:
    135 spins - 14955 chips - 20 courtesy chips - 38 keychains - 28 coasters

    Race town:
    143 spins - 14650 chips - 22 courtesy chips - 54 keychains - 48 coasters

Both of these give more than 100 chips a spin. Quite a big difference in crafting materials.

In contrast, Cletus's gives less than 100 (although they were quite small samples). This was after the patch. I decided not to try going for a 7 each time as it only gives 110 for a win, so even if you won 9 times out of 10 (as if that was likely!) you would end up with 990 chips, which is still less than 100 per throw.

Main town, betting on 5 each time:
    17 throws - 1600 chips - 9 courtesy chips - 6 keychains - 6 coasters

Race town, betting on 6 each time, although I accidentally pressed 5 on one occasion:
    10 throws - 950 chips - 4 courtesy chips - 2 keychains - 0 coasters

Hi all, I was just wondering. Did anyone managed to get to the second level of the casino crafting. I'm only at 3 blue cases at the moment and Iplay several times every day. Any tips? Also is it normal we can't craft anymore before we reach the new level? :? Sorry If it's already somewhere, you can also throw me a link in that case. I wasn't able to find it.

Here is a thread about trying to get to crafting level 2:

    http://forum.ea.com/eaforum/posts/list/30/10400483.page

Yes, there is a limit on the amount of items that can be crafted at level 1.
It seems there is a certain amount of luck with this event, what drops you get from gamblers, crafting items given from
Moe's and Cletus's and even what daily challenges you may be given.
