Mine says complete a daily casino challenge - takes me to the daily challenge screen - I hadn't done todays - completed - still says I need to do a casino daily challenge and takes me to the daily challenge page with the timer running....

Part of the casino quest line is to complete one of the casino challenges (there's a post that lists them - look for it).
It will be there until you get and complete a casino challenge.

Unless fixed with recent update you have to skip daily task to obtain casino version and complete. To complete, need to lose on slot machine 5x to acquire 5 blue chips.
The gold courtesy chips are the regular ones you get from the gambler. However, they don't count at all until you click on "Go to" in the Daily Challenge window. It's stupid, but that's the way it works.
