Well, thought I'd hop on in here and see what's what. After nibbling on the clues in the story, I think it means that whoever is playing Victor Von Doom (a villain) was the one who won the contest, and found out the name of Captain America (a good guy). Meanwhile, the Hulk went off like a lamb to join the good team. What a treat for the good team.

Meanwhile, the GL seems to be dangling a carrot to get us to vote.

I thought your comparison of the Hulk to a lamb was grossly oxymoronic, but then I realised you're probably tonguetangled and have to speak in Easter references

Ha-ha - good spot. I'm not sure I'd have noticed  It just seemed like Annette's usual beautiful prose to me. I expect she's very "cross"

I thought I wouldn't have to vote today if I didn't want to :( I guess I still dont have to, but that carrot looks mighty tasty....

I'm thinking, is it worth trying to work out who is hulk by everyone telling us that they are not him. I know the real hulk is likely to slip in somewhere, but then we've got a lead, and the people who vote against the hulk are on the opposite team, so either way both teams have a lead to follow.

Is hulk a good guy or bad guy?

Wilki, I am ready to torture you (on a wheel, of course) for such a brazen idea. I would expect that you would "dye" if one of us tried that trick in one of your games. Saying who we are NOT would indeed be within the technical language of the rule, but it would be wrong for us to give others even a "peep" at what our role is.

NOTE: Thanks to someone in this game, my life today is not exactly a box of chocolates. :wink:

In comics - Good guy, with Issues

That may not be the case here in the game.............. but I hope we keep good/bad guy roles from comics (well...... some people switch sides - but anyway.)
PM me- I DO need Good Neighboreenos currently

Possible, cheap, dirty and really bad sportsmanship loophole out of this TT:
It looks like you need an Easter reference every sentence... What if you wrote in one, huge, unpunctuated sentence, Annette?:mrgreen:

He must be a good guy. He left with Xavier...

Yeah, in this story, the Hulk is good. Now, what happens if Magneto gets killed? Does the Hulk win with Xavier? This is a bit confusing. But I suppose the Hulk player now has superpowers which are activated.

More coffee and tea! Does this really mean something?!

LOL, poor Annette is the Easter Bunny. Brush up on your Lapine. :)

And one thing is for sure: I am NOT voting first today!

I thought that too, but didn't want to point out the obvious if it wasn't obvious to some.. or if i was thinking incorrectly...I am new at this and am still lost, but enjoying the game so far! Wish it went faster though lol

and I have to say the TT is just too precious as well as all the cute bunny photos <3 You are doing well!

Edit: true on the coffee/tea.. ????? Wish we were allowed to speak of ideas!

    From the sign up:
To also give a preview of how the mechanics will work in this game. Everyone will be assigned a civilian character and possible super hero or super villain name. Each of the team captains will try and recruit a member to their team. If your super identity is compatible to that team you are recruited. If it is not then you die (maybe). So I will use Batman as an example. Batman is good guy team captain and Joker is bad guy team captain. Susie is playing civilian Laurel Lance super identity Black Canary (good guy). If batman recruits Susie she become Black Canary and she gets powers. She will also be granted access to the Batman Doc. If the joker tries to recruit her she dies. Then she goes to DMP. Now with all that said trust me there will be a ton of ways to interfere with the recruiting process and not everything is as it seems.

I also noticed that Charles offered tea and then made coffee. I think GL is messing with us  but I was a bit disappointed that Bruce's soup didn't mutate into cocoa.....

What's the deal with Gamora and Mystique? When I read the messages I presumed those two had been recruited, but now I'm not so sure :?

I had a laugh at the tea/coffee debacle too  were Gamora and mystique in the night 1 message? Would that mean that Charles and magneto recruited someone during the day? Or were they in the day 2 morning message

Maybe Gamora and Mystique are assistants, or second in command, to take over if the main two die.

@Barry, that would end poorly. (Cheating at TT)

@Turkey, you can discuss ideas. In fact as it goes on people will start to make lists. That is fine. The flip side is that if you are really good at figuring out the other team they might want to kill you for being too smart

@FL DMV your number system makes no sense. I think you do it that way just to crush any hopes at a speedy trip.

Ok, that was maybe not the best idea. I think we need to be thinking how the leaders would think. Personally, I'd recruit one of the strongest players: it's a win-win. Either they die or help you out. Would it not be worth keeping a closer eye on some of the stronger, more experienced players, as I'd have chosen someone like Johnny, annette or Barry, had I been Xavier or Magneto, which I'm sadly not.

They were in the end of day message, so it would make sense that they were recruited during the day and we just weren't told about it. Or not  But that would also cover your "what happens if Magneto (played by Gandalf in the x-men film) gets killed" question Lynn - they could be second in commands. Or not :?

Oh, okay! Tongue Tied also or is that going too far?

Huh? Are you saying you're tongue tangled? Usually it's only one at a time, and you have to follow some rule about your posts. For instance, you might have a cipher, where a=3, b=4 and so on, and so your posts would look like a slew of numbers. Or you could be forced to type with no nouns or verbs. I did that to Barry one game, and he still hates me for it.
I just read this and it lo Is like I'm being really petty and ignoring you  I don't hate you per say, just everyone that voted for me that game :wink:

Just teasing you, Barry. I know you're not really mad at me. :-) That was fun, though, I gotta say. I used a whole bunch of impossible TTs that I'd been dying to try.

I know you guys are a blood thirsty lot (who sometimes find "villains" on the first day *cough* wonderland *cough*). So their is a contingency plan. Each team had a role go out that if the leader dies they will activate.

Also 5 min left in the challenge

I just reread the thread and I think Lynn is right about the 2nd in command roles

That's a very good point - who would the leaders have gone for first? I think you're probably right in your predictions. Although the one that goes next will probably change tact now you've pointed that out

@lynn and Barry do you think they won't become second in command if the other side gets them first though?
