    @Barry, that would end poorly.

@Turkey, you can discuss ideas. In fact as it goes on people will start to make lists. That is fine. The flip side is that if you are really good at figuring out the other team they might want to kill you for being too smart

@FL DMV your number system makes no sense. I think you do it that way just to crush any hopes at a speedy trip.

 okay, don't do what I said Annette

Actually, based on my history of posting, I should be able to do really long sentences (and -- naturally -- use a lot of parentheses (since that's my typical style of writing (although some could argue that it was against the "spirit" of the tonguetie, (if they wanted to be technical, that is) ) ) ) ... but that would be putting all my eggs in one basket, so to speak. So I might as well not get a bee in my bonnet (as my dear departed mother would say), and do what I'm told to do (and not resurrect old habits) ...

About the hunt for coffee/tea clues, there are two possibilities. One is that GL is messing with our minds, trying to multiply our confusion. The other is that GL is screaming (to herself) because she's dropping a major clue and beating it into a frenzy and we're not catching on. I would hate us to rain on her parade, so I think we should consider the possibility that it was on purpose.:wink:

I don't believe that Gamora or Mystique are officially recruited yet. I think all players have a side that they will join unless that are people that can join both sides. Gamora would join the good guys and Mystique the bad guys. At this point, I believe that the good guys are only Hulk and Xavier and the bad guy is Magneto. The rest are still waiting to be recruited by their respective side.

Ok, that was maybe not the best idea. I think we need to be thinking how the leaders would think. Personally, I'd recruit one of the strongest players: it's a win-win. Either they die or help you out. Would it not be worth keeping a closer eye on some of the stronger, more experienced players, as I'd have chosen someone like Johnny, annette or Barry, had I been Xavier or Magneto, which I'm sadly not.

That's a very good point - who would the leaders have gone for first? I think you're probably right in your predictions. Although the one that goes next will probably change tact now you've pointed that out

@lynn and Barry do you think they won't become second in command if the other side gets them first though?

Maybe they already have their superpowers right now, unlike those who have to be recruited to gain them. My problem is that I know nothing about Mystique and Gameil--whatever his name is.

EDIT: Gamora. Wasn't that the giant turtle in a Godzilla film?

Not at all related to the game, but whenever I see the name Magneto, I always think of a hybrid between this....

I'm not much of a film buff, but I do love the Cornetto trilogy :D

So, back to the game - if there is some significance to the tea/coffee thing, what could it be?? :? I know bugger all about Marvel, but is Charles (also known as Xavier - why do all these people feel the need to have two names? It's very confusing. Played by Captain Jean Luc Picard in the X-men films by the way  ) known for changing his mind? Actually Capt P liked tea didn't he? I think I may have just made this even more complicated

I thought it was "magenta", which was the color of that gazebo they sold us in the Valentine event in TSTO, which was one of the events before Easter that year.

I actually only posted this because I found this awesome gif that has nothing to do with Magenta or Magneto or Walnettos, but I wanted to post it quick, like a bunny.

Maybe GL is being sweet and hinting that the player who has the role of (whichever character is drinking tea) is from England, and the player who has the role of (whichever character is drinking coffee) is from ... well ... NOT England.

.....I love teas... I have sweet tea in my fridge, I have Earl Grey, Irish breakfast blend and Chai Tea in my cabinet. That's just right now... I'm from southern United States so I don't know if we could truly group people that way..

Or maybe Annette is dangling a big red (Easter egg festooned  ) herring/bunny? In the story two men were drinking coffee. Charles then sipped tea (British?) and Magneto wanted to meet for another cup of tea (British?). Gamora was promised tea ( British?) but then Charles brewed coffee (American?)

    Dunno :?

Hmm. Soup, coffee, tea all have to do with stuff being "in hot water"

And who is the mayor Bruce is talking about in the first sentence of day 2?

"Bruce was in his lab trying to work on a new heart monitor, figure out the identity of who made an assassination attempt against the mayor and cook lunch"

Maybe it happened in a movie?

Part 2 (kind of) Adventures of the Newest Mavel Writer

The editor didn't hear the knock on the door the first time the new writer knocked. It was only on the 3rd knock that he finally heard it.
    "Yeah? Come in"
"Uh hey boss. So I know you have me writing that new run with the team ups expanding across multiple different properties? Well, uh, here is the thing. I don't know too much about all those people. Like there is a LOT to go on. Also Marvel has a ton of different characters. How am I supposed to know all of them. Another thing everyone has such a long history at some point everyone has been a good guy and another time they were bad. Wikipedia isn't helping that's for sure."
The longer the new writer spoke the harder the editor wished for a vacation.
"Look kid, I'll give you a sorter list so you don't go crazy. These are the important movies. Avengers 1, Xmen 1-3, Xmen Origins, Guardians of the Galaxy, Captain America:Winter Solider, Jessica Jones on Netflix and Daredevil on Netflix----forgot Fantastic 4----. That should just about cover it."
"Oh wow thanks. That will help. How will I know if they are good or bad?"
"Basically how they were in those movies is pretty much how we want them in the comics. I mean we made a ton of money off of them so we gotta be doing something right. Right? Now where is my coffee?"
"Oh right here is your camomile with honey."
"Thanks kid. You are going to do alright. Oh hey before I forget throw in Jubilee into the mix. She is a great character that hasn't really been in any of the movies. I say we make her a star"
    "Sure thing boss"
