I like it. Haven't there been requests recently in the forum for the fire station? New content = always good - keeps newer players busy and gives max level players a reason to keep playing IMHO.
The fire update seems so small that I can't say I hate it. It's not the most fun thing they've created, but I don't think that was their intention. It's just a minor update to keep us busy between major updates, and I think it's fine.
I need a "its okay but not memorable" option, depending on the size of the fire station I may just end up throwing it in storage. Although, even if it is a nice building it will just end up thrown in the corner until I get around to nuking.
Also, there's only four outfits, 2 freemium 2 premium, the other prizes are tasks for the skin
Not everyone has been playing this game since it began. Most people on this forum seem to have been, but the majority of people who play this game haven't.
I absolutely LOVE it!
The tasks take 4 hours, so there's enough down-time to enjoy before the next big thing.
I LOVE firemen and I just found out about myself that I'm actually a bit of a pyromaniac, cause I LOVE setting other Springfields on fire. :P
( Much more fun than tapping houses or endless searches for pesky little snakes, sullen gamblers or moonwalking zombies (okay, that's not true, LOVE LOVE LOVE moonwalking zombies).)
It's like I'm on XTC, but I'm not. The weather is lovely today in Amsterdam, spring has truly begun. Happy tapping everybody!
I like that the event is "neighbor" friendly. Tend to get lazy about neighbor visits if there isn't some incentive beyond the possibility of a donut. Helping friends add to their medal count by lighting fires made me want to tap the entire list. Plus the sound of lighting up their houses is excellent.
I loved the Casino update. It was colorful, exciting and fun. The prizes were awesome.
This event is a disaster. 110 donuts for two outfits? Many people already have more Homer outfits than an adult man has teeth. Also, the prizes are bad: only ONE Building, one or two decorations, and like 5-10 outfits (Maybe I'm the only one who prefers Decs. and Buildings to outfits, That's just mine opinion).
What do you think about this horrible (my opinion) update?
I think you're incredibly wrong. That's what I think.
I think it's a nice way to introduce the Fire Station. It's been widely requested, and this keeps the game ... well ... a "game", for those who like action as much as (or more than) town-design.
And I DO like that it allows us to help our neighbors. It's about time we had a chance to acknowledge that we're "there", and willing to take our time visiting them even though it doesn't help us, because we know it's a way to be nice to them.
Now excuse me while I -- ridden with guilt for not visiting my neighbors yesterday -- go and make some neighbor rounds.
I voted that I like it. I can work on the mini-event and still have time to work on other things, both in the game and in RL. I especially like that I can help all of my neighbors with my visits.
Oh well, since JoshSheerer (if I remember the nick correctly) is gone from the forum (or I don't see him) someone had to take his place as the "Forum's Chief Pessimist"

Buy a whale for 300 donuts then.

I chose stop making polls. They are not as fun as this mini event.
