Neighbor visit Prospectors?

They have not updated the app on their end more than likely.

Keep going through your neighbor list - a lot of mine haven't updated yet, so the prospectors cant be dropped.

My feeder town wasnt showing me the option of dropping anything until i advanced it to the point where it told me to drop prospectors in other towns. Its the first night of the expansion. People will get caught up soon enough

Thanks y'all. I don't know why this didn't occur to me haha. Guess I'm a little rusty... I'm just used to my neighbors updating faster than me

Does anybody know what effect it has on my neighbor when I drop a prospector into their town?

The popup went by pretty fast, but my impression was that it would do something BAD to the neighbor. ("Stop your friend from somethingorother whatchamacallit") ...

While I'm at it, does anybody know what effect it has on ME when I drop the prospector into their town?

I think it's point based - I got a pop up after coming back from my neighbours screen and it said "Annette helped you" (a few others appeared on that list too) so points are given when the prospectors are tapped. I'm unsure if it is more beneficial to tap them or not tap them, tho.

For the time being I'm going to just drop them in neighbour's towns as I get them, and tap the ones dropped in my town. I'm sure eventually someone will figure out the best strategy for dropping/tapping.

I guess I thought that I had more than three prospectors to drop on my neighbors towns so I quickly ran out. Those of my neighbors who have the little sand colored icon on the upper right have a zero not allowing me to make a drop and a roaring monster noise sounds . Guess I will have to figure this out as I go.

The neighbor visits are similar to last haloween's event when we dropped the purple terror thingies. I don't think you can drop on neighbors until they have a MAP count registering.

Edit to add: They even have the same growl-roar when one is dropped in your town

Not sure how neighbor visits work this time , I dropped all my prospectors in one of my neighbors towns and not in other Springfield when I was prompted. Later I received one screen that shows I was helped and 2 separate screens that no one helped :?:

If you're serious about getting that message, then I gotta tell you that it isn't because I dropped a Prospector in your town. I haven't dropped any to anybody yet.

So maybe you dropped one to me and I helped you by NOT tapping on it? I haven't been in my town for hours, though I'm heading in there now. (If you dropped one and I DID tap on it, I honestly don't recall doing so, but I've had a bit of RL craziness over the past few days, so anything is possible. ) :shock:

Well, we have 40 days (that sounds so biblical) remaining on this event. I'm sure we'll figure it out by then.

I dropped one for you - and I'm guessing you tapped it. I say that because after I tapped a bunch from another neighbour she got a message saying that I helped her. Could be wrong, tho - I'm still not entirely certain (so far) about the way it works this time around.

If they have not updated why are the earning medals? I too have hardly any neighbors who i can drop them in.

I think the medals actually indicate where they are on your leaderboard - they aren't earning them.

So the higher the number, the lower the place on the leaderboard.
