Cannot agree more. I just vented in another thread how I love all updates, but hate this constant crashing. I don't have a large Springfield and haven't even built the new buildings yet. Despite this, I'm crashing constantly - and I did not before the update. So there is some major instability occurring - at least for me. Not sure how widespread it is though.
Hey Wait, since youre one of my neighboors I was wondering,do you often visit to collect? if so,did it ever happen that your game crashes while visiting my town?

I always crashed when I visited your town when I was collecting coins.
It would be interesting to learn whether crash frequency is definitely related to the number of friends, size of SF, quantity or type of decorations, concurrent visits from friends while in the Move menu, or some combination thereof.
I do know I'm crashing about 3x as often as before the update, but it seems to be at least slightly dependent on the time of day, which would seem to point to either a server/communication issue or something to do with all these danged "friends."
One other observation: I have an ipad2 and an ipad3, and it SEEMS to crash more often lately on the 3. Odd, considering the 3 has a faster processor and more memory. But this may be coincidental. Too bad monitoring tools aren't available for iPads like PCs, maybe we could crowd source some suggestions for EA.

Sometimes when I scroll too fast but most of the time there's no problem.

Yeah Doc,amen to your other post. I agree the game gets more and more unstable. For myself, I started playing on august 5th.Back then the game was a charm,I was decorating/expanding my town just like I wanted, spending a full hour sitting on my lawn chair on my balcony outside messing around on this game while enjoying the sun. Since october the games been a complete mess. I cant even spend more than 10-15mins on the game because I get a damn headache only from having to watch my actions, not scroll too fast, often click the bart&Milhouse icon, wait 5-10 second delays when I tap a item to move it etc. Everythings so messed up and laggy. It crashes WAY too often. Sometimes early in the morning or late at night it seems to be more playable..but even then I always have to sync my game by going in and out of my neighboors list..annoying.
What? You mean this is not normal part of game play?
I have been crashing since this game was launched. I guess I am used to it and it might throw me off if they fix this.
I always find it strange to read an elongated word where the person repeats a letter (usually the last one) other than the one that would actually be sounded if you shouted it. For instance, I sound out the one in this topic title as the word 'crash' followed by a long exhalation to vocalise the ludicrously long H.
I have figured out that when I touch a character in the a.m. without clearing the houses first, it'll crash. Once I have all the houses done, I can access the characters. Homer still crashes on regular homer, but not on any other. This means I cannot get Burns manor. Tonight I'll clear all houses and atart with Homer first and then the other characters and see if this helps. I still crash at least three times bfore I finish putting people on tasks, but I don't crash when visiting my firends SFs.

Maybe it's just me though. :?
I can surley agree on that, craaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaash makes much more sense.
Prior to the Xmas/snow update I had almost no stability issues. Since the update I have had a ton of issues.
It culminated in me not being able to even send Homer or Lisa on any jobs. If I tapped either the game crashed no exceptions. My town had reached its largest and most ornate state at that time. Each addition to my town seemed to add to my crashing issues.
So I did a large redesign, removed a ton of fencing, shrubbery etc etc. My town is still huge and ornate its just more stable. I can now at least send Homer and Lisa on jobs again.
I hope one day this game is stable and I am not handcuffed in what I can do with the game. As is the case now

I'm disappointed... This was one of your weaker attempts to derail a thread
