Wild West at Springfield Heights

No, I thought about it, but the new land gives me enough space to work with for now.

I mostly did it because the buildings don't really fit in with the rest of Springfield.

You're right, it would definitely look better over there, and give it a more isolated desert feel. Hmmm, you got me thinking again now!

I still had some empty space on the top right (north?) part of SH, so I didn't have to move much, mostly two big buildings obscuring that part, but I, too, think SH is a good area for the Wild West town.

SH is always my temporary area. It's my christmas town, halloween area, my Vegas.... whatever the flavour of the month is, it goes there. Near the end of the event I find a permanent location (when I have a better idea what space is needed) or store it.

That is where I put mines for now because I didn't have room to put it anywhere else.

I think this is a great idea to put the Wild West items in SH but do you think there will be enough content to fill up the entire SH area?

Well a real Wild West wouldn't have a lot of buildings so it would make it more realistic. I have left the beach with normal buildings, so if there is a lot of space I might just but a Springfield Heights Promenade thing there.

I've thought about removing the SH stuff, because it just doesn't do much for me, but I keep thinking I may make it a Christmas theme since I love Christmas.

I just use SH as a shed. After this event I'm hoping to do a much needed redesign .

I'm halfway through designing my heights but I'm not 100% happy with it. I'm really really tempted to scrap it and turn that whole area into a desert themed area with a more built up strip with the casino buildings from the last event.

I'm so close to getting ziff mansion in SH but it's been a real grind. The thought of getting another 500 million makes me feel a bit scared!

Great idea!! Pity we can't move the Yacht Club to the "normal" SF beach as well. :(

I am placing the Wild West on the new land for now but I'd REALLY like to put it above the SH land we currently have. We need more land!! (First time I've said this, promise)

I made it the Casino area, and that leads into the Wild West. The Heights-specific buildings are dotted around the rest of the town.

So I am really wanting to do this but I am having a hard time deciding on whether or not I should try to redesign my entire SH and Springfield to make this all fit.. For those that have done it, do you have some pictures or any comments on whether you are pleased with it?

Everyone in my Springfield packed up their belongings (and their houses) and moved to permanent residence in SH as soon as it opened.

The only ones who don't are the ones that live in the slums Cletus, Moe, Nelson etc...

This allowed me space to build a nice big sports complex area and still have room for events.

I stage events just below my main hub park (the only part of my Springfield with actual roads instead of pavement in place of roads). This makes it super easy for neighbors to find something to tap on quickly when they visit.

Well I've done it! I've scrapped most of my heights and made a Vegas strip with a desert area alongside it. Still very much a work in progress!

I do the same. Quicker to go to there.

I would love to see the Wild West and Springfield Vegas have their own areas like SH and Krustyland. The Wild West theme doesn't really fit into the normal Springfield but would be very cool if it had a area of its own. Another entrance at the other end of SH could open up land for one of these designs.
