What does everybody do for a living?

Prev1345678
Head of Quality Control at the Kibbles N' Bits plant. I'm actually only responsible for the Bits. Another guy has the Kibbles, but with some diligence and determination, I'll have his job in under 16 months.

Isn't obvious, we play TSTO until it crashes, then we pout on The Forum.

I'm a part time bookkeeper for what's left of a small family business venture. My folks are retired and everyone else that had any connection to the company is off doing other jobs and having their own lives now. It's not a bad job as I have a thirty second commute and very flexible hours. During the downtime I've been helping my mother with her recovery from some recent surgery she had to have. It's not that bad of a life really as it affords me time to indulge in my photography hobby.

Aw that's great if you get to also do what you enjoy doing on the side!
I don't think it would be any fun to have a hobby and be too busy to actually spend any time doing it.

Ive been to school for both fashion merchandising and architectural technology, didn't finish either and became a paint supervisor/ hardware store general trainer/ merchandiser until our daughter was placed with us. Have been a stay at home mom for 3 1/2 years; she's now in kindy and I try to look like I've done something meaningful by the end of the day.

Wow, I go to lunch for an hour and come back to a whole lot of replies!

I can't believe how many different types of jobs/careers there are that people here have.

Did anyone think that was what they'd end up doing when they were teenagers? Like I wanted to be a prep-year 1 primary school teacher, before I got to high school and realised how much I wouldn't enjoy it.

I originally wanted to work with kids. Then I wanted to get into social work. Not sure if this career is forever but it's good for me now lol

I have been a nurse for 12 years. Half of that time I worked in a OB/GYN setting, but recently I got back into working as a nurse for adults with developmental/intellectual disabilities. I have a lot of experience with this population of people as I spent the other half of my time as a nurse working in this field and it is truly what I am "meant" to do. I love my job!!! :D
