Hangs on load screen after blank popup

That first load screen comes up for about a second, and then a blank screen slides over it, kinda like an ad pop-up or something, except it's just black. If I close the app and come back, the load screen is there, but it stays there indefinitely. After shutting down the app and restarting a LOT of times I can sometimes get it to work, but about half the time I give up and I'm falling behind in the Wild West storyline. Anyone else have this problem? :?:
