Yeah just in the last 20 minutes. But I've not been playing much as I've been pre occupied with drowning my sorrows. I wrote about it on the good morning thread
I wonder if it's just a misconception or if EA's programmers just really suck on what they are supposed to be doing.
It feels like whenever there is an update coming out, there is always at least one major bug...
But like I said, it might be a misconception (like when you think you're always standing in the slowest line at the supermarket).
But it IS always the slowest line.
From what I've heard about EA, they don't pay their programmers the greatest, so they probably don't have the best programmers. And EA is probably always on their bums about getting things out FAST without being tested properly (or at all by the looks of it) and they figure they will fix up the patches later. From what my husband tells me, (he has been a programmer for a long time) that is like the new method for programming. It used to be a big deal to have to patch things so things were more thoroughly tested. Now everyone is always online and it's easy to roll out patches everyday if you need to. We have seen this pretty consistently with EA lately.
I don't expect them to be the best. All I demand is to let an unpaid intern test it...
I agree. It would be far better for everyone (I think) if they at least had someone doing some testing. All these glitches are annoying. But you know what a rush everyone is in all the time. I imagine EA is saying things like, "we have to get level 60 out this week. Just do it." And the programmers are like, "well, it isn't tested but what else are we going to do." Happens all the time according to my husband.
Hmph... was last on a few hours ago, playing blissfully unaware / somewhat casually today, not having seen anything new since couldn't log in & came here.... checked my 'Blew It' thread from a couple days ago w/one more reply there; and then learning of all this utter mayhem now makes my losing out on the Corral issue certainly seem quite trivial :roll:
So, I now dub this thread /suggest LPN retitles it to:
'The Ecstacy & Agony of Tapped Out' :twisted:

Actually for me, I certainly wouldn't mind if they had to do a bigger rollback or reset to the end of Act2 so I might get that friggin corral :twisted:

I've been locked out since sometime this morning..shortly after LPN started the Level 60 thread(I think it was morning- long day). This is getting crazy.

I assume you would have had to rush the googleplex for this "glitch" to happen. I updated, started the googleplex and everything works fine and remain at level 60 every log on.
I don't know if that's what triggered mine, but I did rush the build and several of the first quests. Then it just started leveling up. I thought it was a developer joke because of all our complaining about level 60...until game crashed. :evil:

Yeah we got beat 3-1. Ain't the end of the world. The end of the world would be there being no beer left anywhere. Back to what I originally posted ea are clowns.

Nope. I did not rush the Googleplex and had this issue happen. For me this occurred after I updated when I went to Krustyland and then tried to return to Springfield. Locked me out at that point.
I hope this turns out to not be the case. Even then, they better just reconstruct his town, bit by bit, until it's back. EA will be shooting themselves in the foot if they f8 this up.
Got locked out earlier myself. Only leveled up to 65 I think. Did rush the googolplex though. Hoping to get the game back, won't start over if its lost.
Same here. If I look at my town from my OH's account, it says in his neighbour list that I'm on level 668, but going into the town it says level 651. Deleting the app and reinstalling allows me to log in again but as soon as I tap anything it goes back to the Bart screen loop.
I also tried that uninstall tactic. Exactly the same thing happened to me. Oh well. The game remains un-Afooted, as Sherlock Holmes would say. :?
I expect now Homer live video with Dan C. dubbing Homer saying apologies to the TSTO users that had this.
after they did the same thing for UK and Latin America viewers regarding their problem during Simprovised i want one for this
My sincere condolences to LPN. Your work here on the forum pretty much gives you a free pass in my book. To the rest who have exploited the glitch and have subsequently been 'locked' out- I got nothing for ya. You got what was coming to you. Most people who play this game dont know or arent conniving enough to know how to work a glitch like that. Still, there are others that know how to work the glitch but dont on principle. People like me that pay real money for donuts. It devalues my curreny. (I also work hard to earn donuts legit through railyard, daily challenge, find Maggie, etc.) Its like using counterfeit bills. Or if you went to an ATM machine and it started giving you extra money. Guess what? You cant keep it! You'd have to give it back or they take it back. This is no different. I think they should make those that cheated have to sit out the rest of the West event and then unlock their games after. And of course take the donuts back. Penance for being manipulative. Sorry to sound harsh but like I said before, I play premium and fair and believe there should be consequences for exploiting the value of our digital currency.

Did I miss something? The bart screen is a server connection screen - you will get back in - sometime.............. may be weeks of fighting(it has happened before) but its a connection screen.
If you get in and your town is Gone - thats different - GONE.

I would highly recommend that you read the intire days many threads before you become so disgustingly condemning. Many of us, including LPN, did nothing other than try to play the game and were locked out. If you want to be harsh, go look in the mirror.

The Gil Deal has vanished from the iPad game. I still have it in both of my Android games...
