    Getting this issue as well...

I went to Krustyland and tried to go back and now will no longer allow me into the game, giving the can't connect Bart screen. Was working fine up until this point.

That did it to me in ONE town that I ended up locked out of. (Can't recall why I went to KL, but what the heck ... )

I'm locked out of another town as well, where I'd been buying bloodmobiles. Thought that being locked out was punishment, but now I see from the walkthrough that the bloodmobile trick is definitely NOT a "glitch". So waiting to see what they do to fix this stuff.

My sincere condolences to LPN. Your work here on the forum pretty much gives you a free pass in my book. To the rest who have exploited the glitch and have subsequently been 'locked' out- I got nothing for ya. You got what was coming to you. Most people who play this game dont know or arent conniving enough to know how to work a glitch like that. Still, there are others that know how to work the glitch but dont on principle. People like me that pay real money for donuts. It devalues my curreny. (I also work hard to earn donuts legit through railyard, daily challenge, find Maggie, etc.) Its like using counterfeit bills. Or if you went to an ATM machine and it started giving you extra money. Guess what? You cant keep it! You'd have to give it back or they take it back. This is no different. I think they should make those that cheated have to sit out the rest of the West event and then unlock their games after. And of course take the donuts back. Penance for being manipulative. Sorry to sound harsh but like I said before, I play premium and fair and believe there should be consequences for exploiting the value of our digital currency.

While I understand your feelings, this time you're wrong. This Level-Up stuff was all planned. It's part of the questline.

See the Walkthrough thread "Bloodmobile Easter Egg" section, with some really funny dialogue, IMO.

And the walkthrough section titled "Level 939" where you discover that "939" is the area code of Springfield:
"System Message: In honor of reaching the area code of Springfield, we're not doing the level thing anymore."

I've spent a lot of RL money, too. A LOT. But this time it's fair game. (see what I did there? ) ;)

This is just . . . odd. How does one "play fair"? I've played the game since day one and have invested way, way too much real money in this game. I'm a premium player. Because I'm a premium player my multiplier is almost 1000%. So we get to level 60, yay the XP bar has been reset, I really want the new Gil deal but I don't have enough donut, so I charge up the XP collider and start buying rat traps, because I've been saving my cash for if we ever got another level.
The XP level ups were only 40K
1000% multiplier times 5 because of the collider
So I buy about 80 rat traps and back out to see how many times I've leveled up to get the bonus donuts, and instead it's tons and tons and tons of level up screens.
So, that's cheating? That's being manipulative? I don't deserve to play the rest of the event?

I bought the new items set my characters on tasks came back and when I came back after several hours to reset things the game just started level jumping. At first I was saying ****.!!! Then I logged out. logged back in; collected from a few buildings and it happened all over again. That's when I came to see if this was just a fluke. After reading all the posts I can't believe that this is intentional to ending Tapped out or is it?

I get what your saying. I assumed those who were locked out got locked out because of the 40000 xp/xp collider/bloodmobile level up scheme. Seems the questline for additional levels beyond level 60 should take time like SH did. If people goy locked out for other reasons then im sorry. I was wrong.

Scheme? I took out the xp collider, bought rat traps and sold them back. How is that a scheme to you?

Edit: This isnt some multi glitch pay out where im doing something weird/strange/not normal to achieve results. How else am i suppose to use the collider??

Donut farming is not cheating. It is well within the rules of the game.

I have no idea why people are getting locked out, or what's going on. I was on a very demanding 2 day job. Just got in. Got messenged during my job, learned that EA was aware and working on a fix, I may have screwed up my post when I tried to edit it but it's back now. So to say again, They are working on a fix and that's all I know and sorry I wasn't readily available when this all went down. Hang in there. I'm still trying to catch up too on the situation.

**** are you talking about?! have you read all the messages about this? This is happening to people who simply do things like rush the new building. It has nothing to do with illegal stuff.

Re: "having to be conniving" in order to work this glitch.

Is that true? Really? The Monsarno glitch, yes. People had to WORK at that one. But this one? Today, ANYONE and EVERYONE who used the Exelerator (with perfectly legitimate intent to earn only a few extra donuts) will suddenly see tons of donuts falling out of the sky onto their lap. There's no conniving to it this time around. And once it starts happening, is the expectation really that they should stop collecting them? I don't see how this glitch would be "punishable." People are finding it through regular play. There's not much guilt to be found there.

Did I miss something? The bart screen is a server connection screen - you will get back in - sometime.............. may be weeks of fighting(it has happened before) but its a connection screen.
If you get in and your town is Gone - thats different - GONE.

I was fine until about 6PM EDT and then got the Bart Screen of Death.

I tried deleting and reinstalling "TSTO", and that allowed me to get into my Springfield - which confirms it's not been reset or anything - but if I try to play the game, I get kicked out.

And by "play the game", I mean actually tap on anything!

    Right you didn't exploit.

You played this game for 60 levels you know how the level system works so once you went to 61 you knew there was a problem did you stop?

NO YOU CONTINUED TO USE THE EXPLOIT.

"In video games, an exploit is the use of a bug or glitches, game system, rates, hit boxes, or speed, etc. by a player to their advantage in a manner not intended by the game's designers"

The above link is the definition of video game exploiting you might want to take a read before you start bashing people.

You chose to keep going and going and going to get free doughnuts I have no remorse for you or anybody that is locked out.

I didn't even know about this. I just clicked my buildings as usual with the collider and I was at level 90s. Then I bought the new building and bang I was over 500. No new quest no donuts after the first few levels over 60. Then another buy and over 939. Again no donuts. Then got kicked out. Bart screen ever since. Then I came here and found out the glitch. But I wasn't even trying to exploit. Bought 2-3 items as I always do to a new level so I can max to 10 millions then bang got locked out... why?

Can you reveal your TO name? I want to make certain you aren't a neighbor of mine.

Read all messages about this. People who merely built the Googolplex with the XP running were locked out. They were not exploiting anything. They were planning the game as intended.

Seems to me the glitch is just how low the xp bar is set. Well that and people locked out. All these levels goes with the games humor. The devs know everyone has been asking for a new level forever, so yanno what let's just give the players all of' em. There's quests that unlock and everything.

I have to disagree here, those who harvested thousands of donuts from the endless bob and tapball glitches cheated, and won.

I didn't personally benefit from either of these, but in these cases the cheaters clearly won.

How are you sure this was not the game designer's intent? It is clear they intended people to level up to Level 939, and everything else seems to be in order, aside from possibly the xp level only being 40,000. Now, maybe they intended it to be 400,000, but if that were the case, that is something they could have easily released a patch for almost immediately. The glitch that EA is fixing is that people are locked out, not that people used standard xp farming techniques.

It's not in the Premium sub-menu. But it's not in the Premium sub-menu on my Android games either - just on the main page when you open the store.

Still don't know if I want it yet though. Just irked that I don't have the option of buying it if I do decide to get it.
