Gold coins?

You need to complete the first few parts of the quest line for the gold coins to show up, don't worry the 100 that you got will be on the total you have as soon as you unlock them.

That's not true at all. It's just the first 1 hour quest. I believe the second one is for Lisa to "start a craze" which then unlocks use of gold coins. I saw this originally has I unlocked the first 2 prizes on day 1, but had that 1 hour task sit for 12+ hours (can't log in all day). So when that was completed part 2 was to send Lisa, thus the coins unlocked.
I noticed I had to "Play the Act 2 finale" before I could move my Act 3 questline along. I can't recall when my questline got stuck, but I was worried they meant I had to have finished all the prizes in Act 2. (Which I hadn't) ... It took me forever to realize that all they meant was to go back to the Act 2 tab and play that "Act 2 Finale" movie, which I hadn't watched yet. (The one with Bart and Snake.)
Once I did that, everything started to flow according to the questline. I realize this isn't 'unlocking the act 3 finale', which is what killasqirl said, but thought I'd mention it here because maybe it's part of what's stopping the OP.
