While they may be correct this time, "chat tech support said.." and "EA says..." are not the same thing.

Yeah, I put very little stock in what EA customer support says. From what I've seen here on the boards, and my personal dealings with them, they seem to have very little idea what is going on with the current game, let alone the future of it.
    I like routine!

The wiki listed the Gil deal as early access to give everyone (no matter their level) a chance at the deal before it becomes a leveled purchase.

Went online chat tech support, and they gave this response when I asked where's Gil?

The Gil promotion is permanently available to players who are level 60+ and have completed “Card Handy Pt. 8.” A player who purchases the promotion during the early access period will not see the promotion re-appear once they hit level 60.

    So hopefully that's the ticket

I'm level 104 and have completed card handy pt 8 but still cannot buy Duff Gardens.

The "early access period" as I understand it, is that when new (premium) items are introduced, usually with a level required to "unlock," that level requirement is waived during the early access period (usually a couple of weeks) so players at lower levels can purchase new premium content. (Clearly, EA intends to negate this in the future, thus the move away from levels unlocking content.)

The Gil promotion being available permanently does NOT mean that it's just going to be in the store forever for everyone. It just means that it will normally be a Level 60 unlock with 7 days of availability once a player reaches level 60 (or possibly once they finish the level 60 questline, if the references to Card Handy Pt. 8 mean anything.) We are in the Duff Gardens early access period right now, which is why people who have not reached level 60 can purchase.

So. Probably SOL on this, which is a bummer because I definitely would like those creepy gnomes.

The Gil Deal appears to be still available for 2 more days. If you really want it, i recommend contacting EA and telling them. Maybe they will le you buy it.

I'm one of the players who didn't get the glitch. I dismissed it and end up purchasing through the menu as shown above later on in the day. Wasn't started on the candy questline either.

As others say - try to get another rep. Don't think what you've been told is accurate.

Last time I checked the Me Too Forum about 275 people had reported this problem...I can't believe they don't have a fix yet...it is premium. I agree with Nissa, if it were me, I would keep contacting them.

Update: Got a call back and was told "...update within the next 7 days." Last time I was told that it was less than 15 minutes...so patience, it is a premium so IMO, pretty dumb not to fix.

Really people, I bump this thread for a reason

yeah.......... the part about it being permanently available sounds wrong at this point, considering how it hasn't reappeared in the store even though all the leveling madness is done. I've reached the resting point in the game when you'd think any permanent DuffGarden offering would have popped back into availability.

Maybe the offer was coded to appear on only one side of the level-up madness, instead of reappearing for both Under 60 & Over 60 towns. Or perhaps the early-access sale was coded like that ^ and the 5 day sale must first come to an end before the the permanent offer shows up in the store? (To avoid double purchasing snafu's???)

All I know is it's still missing and time is running out to make my purchase.....................
After many attempts with a whole lot of different stories told to me by the EA reps - I again have serious Doubts they have any clue what they are talking about.
And - when these things become permanent - haven't they also gone up in price in the past? Completely Unfair move.
PM me- I DO need Good Neighboreenos currently

This is the only permanent Limited Time Gil Deal I have ever encountered. Usually Limited Time is just that. I got the deal but it was not on offer for the full extent of the Limited Time advertised. It vanished after an hour.

A permanent offer should be just that. I too have complained and will continue to do so.

I was really hoping it would be back by today. What's left one day to buy it? I lost track.
I'm hopeful that EA will release it again quickly, this is just me being an optimist, I do not know
this to be true. But it would be fair.
