Dunno what they're doing, but he said they're going after all the extra donuts that happened because of the glitch. They lost waaaaay too much money, and it wasn't supposed to happen.

How would EA have lost money at all?
Granting digital goodies doesn't cost them even one penny
If anything needed to be done about it, they needed to take care of it immediately (like the day it happened or the day after). Dealing with it a week after the fact is just going to ostracize long term players.
what glitch?....I'm confused, from what I've read this is designed behavior...or is it a glitch that each level is 40K XP, was it intended to be higher?
Now I'm imagining the investors calling in from their various island resorts and yelling at EA in conference calls. It's been a solidly entertaining minute. Are they like that round table meeting of vampires that Count Burns convened in his basement for that Halloween episode?
They can't take our donuts. WE DID NOTHING WRONG...it's they who fed up. They said level up.. we did. They gave a 40,000 requirement for a round of bonuts...we did. They have no ground. They can't rollback all our games.
Well someone was, EA's investors or shareholders look at stock prices, which have just gone up by 2.88%. It's a large company, info won't make it from shareholders to a low level call centre supervisor that quickly. It's the middle of a quarter, reports like that wouldn't be sent to employees right now. I could go on but there's just too much wrong, misinformed info it would take forever...
Again - this thread needs to be locked - so much wrong with info stated a per my post above... No need to upset forum members with completely wrong illogical info.

Yeah...I'm not really big on censorship, but I'm inclined to agree. These barnyard noise guessing games have been tearing us apart and putting everyone way on edge. We really don't need another panic over unconfirmed information.
And donuts given away are donuts people won't buy, ergo, lost money I guess.
This kind of reasoning always bugs the crap out of me.
"We lost so much because we did this" when no one spent anything on what was given away.
They do this in NYC when they cry about giving kids free transit passes. "we spend so much money by letting these kids ride for free." Give me a break. EA loses nothing except sales they may never have gotten anyway, and MTA loses nothing because they have to run those trains/busses whether or not they are full of paying passengers or not.
ugggh...
and now I will let you folks get back to the **** at hand

It's not just unconfirmed in this case, it's just not possible. Original post stated investors were upset. Details about a small glitch in a game won't make it to shareholders - who look at the big picture of EA - that quickly. It also won't make it's way back down to a "high up" call centre supervisor, which is not a high up but an employee on the low end of the payscale with little to no decision making authority in a company that large. They just won't sit in meetings like that...
Anyways it's not censorship in this case, just stopping incredibly wrong info from spreading.

Makes no sense though, sounds like they don't know what they're talking about.

oops just saw join date...
my bad....
I guess they'll just have to have steak and wine on their yacht instead of their G5-g6 air planes. Or what ever series the g plane is at.
Taking back the bonuts cause of EAs mistake is like this. We are Ben stiller and the guy with tom cruise is EA.
They have Mathew mcconaughey is the programmers to get back the donuts.
The G5 plane is a new flatscreen tv or something. You know those programmers want those goodies.
