I had to do a MASSIVE delete to try to get passed the homer freeze for the burns mansion, Please give me a weekmor so and I'll start readding friends after the burns manor is done. There was very few that are left so it was not personal and no offense was meant. Please except my apologies and again, check back in with me in a week or so if you wish.

I recently had to do the same thing :( Made me feel very guilty but it was for the greater good of not crashing as much

Did you clean out the pending friend requests? That seems to help a lot of people.

You crash my town hard, I can't look at it for more than a couple of seconds before it goes down. It may not be an issue of the friends but instead the content?

I think your town is so creative and I'd hate to see you change anything but maybe try storing all trees? If you look at my town all the leafy trees are gone. I expanded another entire row today and have started to build up my Burn's Mansion and not crashing at all.

I hate how barren my town looks but it's so nice being able to move around and click on characters without crashing.

Edited to add: Something happened with this update. People who never had a problem are suddenly crashing and those who crashed occasionally are crashing constantly. They really messed something up and it seems to have something to do with the decorations. Fences, shrubs, flowers, trees. Have to lose them if you want stability.

Awesome town ! and I just wanted to add that I have never crashed in it.

Visiting friends seems to be pretty stable for me. I bet the complexity of the SF matters, and the size, but some HUGE towns that I visit are nice and smooth, where things are all spread out. The ones that stutter a bit have a lot of things/buildings/deco closer together.

I deleted house famers before the last update and I'm trying not to buy any more land and so far things have been fine.

Ive done all that but still crashing twice easy when collecting, so think i'm gonna have to do what lissa suggests is store all my leafy trees and see if that helps....damn my town will look bare :(

It's a shock at first but you get used to it. Be advised that too much in your inventory will cause it to crash. I had to sell all those trees because I could barely move around my build menu. I kept the more expensive things and things I paid for in donuts (30 reindeer are stored because they are worth money even if I got them in stockings).

That's the other thing. My game HATED the deer. Something about them made me crash like crazy, they still cause issues in my build menu (I know this because when I scroll past them in inventory? I crash and then have to go back in and it's fine).

Oh so it could be the reindeer causing me problems as well then? I think i have about 10-15 in the game, might store them and see what happens before i do the trees, sooo dont wanna store the trees it feels like my town is bare as it is already :(

Then that's the only other thing I can think of is pruning your forest.

Once you get stability, change the leafy trees for the pine trees. I have tons of them scattered around my campground, sign, neighborhood, and farm and no problems with them.

Let us know if storing the deer helps.

I had the same issue for a week or so, couldn't send Homer or Lisa on tasks. Game would crash every time I tapped em.

My town had grown to its largest most ornate state at that time. Eventually once my town reached a certain size any expansion would cause a noticeable uptick in crashing, until it reached the point where I couldn't send homer or Lisa to task.

I did a huge remodel of a large section of town and removed as much bling (fencing, hedges, reindeer, houses, trees etc) as I could stomach.

My town is still fairly ornate and still crashes often enough.... But I can now send Homer and Lisa to task.

I am scared to say, but have not had a issue crashing in quite a while. Now I also have about 30 or so reindeer, but not too many trees, but I have been preferring the pine trees. They help deflect the whiteout affect of the snow!

So it just the leafy trees that do the most damage then? Pine trees not the best looking but at least it still trees i guess :) I'll store the reindeer in a min and confirm :)

I now have thr Burns mansion. I stored some buildings that I considered non essential. But I have Homer infrozen, so I'll try to add people again, but only to 50. As long as a charcter doesn't freeze, we're good to go.

I've put over 20 trees into storage and 10 reindeer and still crashing :( Doubt think my town will ever be free of this crashing effect :( Well when the snow goes it might return to normal....always hope

Duno :( I have heard that a friends town can cause your town to crash, but i deleted over 50 people the other day and funny enough i thought it made it worse!! lol

Unless I really do have too much decoration going on in my town that it aint just the trees causing the issue

20? LOL I put over 300 of just one type of tree. In all I put about 500 trees in storage and sold them all. I also put 30 deer into storage and about 200 fences. You barely made a dent in the forest. I'm afraid you are going to have to do more pruning. 20 trees is not enough.

Try putting them all into storage and then restarting the game (the double click on home, click the red button thing) and see if that helps.
