So on my first attempt about 14 hours ago I found 32 turtles got the pills which are still a great prize if you have SH buildings to complete.
On my second attempt a few minutes ago the herd of turtles was pretty thinned out and they were hard to find so I didn't get enough. Out of frustration I rushed the next attempt with donuts and found even fewer turtles at 16.
I think they've made it more difficult to win.

I just found out if you press the chilli couldron a screen pops up and tells u how much time you have to wait for next turtle thumping .....
Kind of makes it easier if u r setting your timers on ur iPhone

Just a reminder: You have to have Homer free also to play the game, so schedule his tasks to coordinate with the cauldron.
DeesToonTown in Crawl to the Finish #The Grumple Is Free!
Possibly a starting point of 100xp, then in addition 2xp for every turtle you tap.
Edit - since change in game to $ as payout:
40 - $900, 180 XP
41 - $910, 182 XP
42 - $920, 184 XP
45 - $950, 190 XP
71 - $1210, 242 XP
72 - $1220, 244 XP
76 - $1260, 252 XP
79 - $1290, 258 XP
80 - $1300, 260 XP
83 - $1330, 266 XP
So if you're finished with SH and find the XP value relatively trivial, could you in theory just press the game start button, not bother with any turtles and still have a chance at the prizes? Has anyone got a prize with zero turtles?
Always looking to add active forum members! But please PM me first.
Has anyone noticed yet what happens to the Pro Shop during the game?
Didn't notice until you pointed it out. Too busy tapping turtles, I guess. It would be great if it looked like this all the time!
Probably my biggest disappointment from the event - I much rather would have had a skin like that for the pro shop instead of just seeing it for exactly a minute and a half a day.
Going by this and the rolls given by LPNintendoITA (0-100, so 101 numbers) you have:
Amount of possible numbers/total amount of numbers*100 = percentage chance
0,99% chance of getting Lightup Elder God (0 = 1)
3,96% chance of getting Cane Field (1 - 4 = 4)
6,93% chance of getting Pumpkin Patch (5 - 11 = 7)
9,90% chance of getting Hieroglyph Wall (12 - 21 = 10)
79,79% chance of getting nothing (22 - 100 = 79)
The numbers between parenthesis are the possible numbers of having one of these prizes. Numbers are rounded up to two decimals to clear up their presentation. Fifth edit's the charm
Many thanks this is what I have figured as well. But I really hate the uncertainty even though we have got over 30 turtles
The pills is good but then I was really hoping to get more corn fields.... Was even wanting to pay a few pinky ones for more rounds... But not with with this big percentage to get nothing.
I guess I was lucky, I have only played twice and got the wall on my second try.
So far I was able to tap 41 and 46 turtles, most of them are on the roads, so I find it's quite easy to tap them. My town doesn't have too many roads though, so they are quite densely concentrated on the ones I have.

Ah, obviously! Didn't even think to look in the most obvious place.

I thought it was the farm that the pepper hovers over then I remembered
I moved my chili pot to the farm. Thanks for that info.
