I decided that after the Western, I'd skip this one. Except I just found a new crop I can unlock. So now I am going for the crop, and then back to the main storyline.

It was just a little fill in to pass time and was pretty much what I expected from a mini event/episode tie-in, yes it could probably have been better with a few more prizes or items for sale but overall it helped pass a week and now have a new crop to grow so no real complaints from me.

    the positives:

    - prizes worth 3% multiplier
    - tents go well in my Farmers Market area...but should at least pay out a few bucks!

i was really bummed that space coyote was premium. i'd buy him if he was cheaper and didn't include that * building.

I wish for more tents. It's the first mini event in a while that had no characters or costumes in the prizes. The only new character in this update was premium, so I hope we're getting another character this week.

What exactly were you expecting from a Chilli Cook off event?

I do wish there were more decorations so I could make a proper Chili Cook-Off area. As it is, I'll probably end up storing everything...which I suppose is fine since I keep hitting the 8000 item limit anyway.

is there a way to see where I am with decorations?
Not that I know of. I mean besides getting the warnings.

I liked the event. I just wish they had released more content. Like the following items...

Cowboy Bob with Bobs RV Round-Up

    Colonel Homer

    Chili Cook Off Banner
    Merciless Pepper of Quetzlzacatenago
    The Ultimate Behemoth
    Homer's Barbecue Pit

    Bumblebee Man's Chili Stand
    Muntz Family Chili
Old Eliku's Yale Style Saltpepper Chili
    Professor Frink's Virtual Chili
    Moe's Chili Bar
    Beer Garden
    Joe's Shack
    Water Stand

All I know is I still am waiting for an arcade version type of event.

It would be where they all get sucked into the arcade version of their own themed game. It would be pretty funny I think.

There were some pretty creepy and cool things in the arcade game that could be prizes.

Monty burns robot suit. Best part was when it threw mini nukes out and mushroom clouded the area.
    The donut people.
    The ninja and samurai
Ho ears bowling ball that became big n evil.
The evil balloon mr Smithers used.
The bar bum that used bottles to spit fire.
And maybe the tall bunny suit guys.
Maybe a tree that drops money and the rabbit pops out of the leaves with a sign saying stop tapping already. Pulls out another one that says but not in tsto just stop tapping me. Maybe every week drops a donut since in the game it dropped food. Prob. More but can't remember.

Maybe not the best idea but it couldn't be worse then some of the events.

This seems like donut abuse but it's ok no real donuts were used in the making of this gif.

I mean the Deep space prizes were just as lame. A prize is an animated job?

I'd rather these short and easy events compared to 30+ day events. At least I can still work on my town without flooding it with content.

I wish the event had more character/skins released with it. Though I am very happy with Space Fox and Ajax was a good buy with the 50 donut rebate.

It wasn't long enough. They could've released more prizes and decorations. There's a whole chili event banner in the store with one cactus to buy for 15 donuts. How about a sign that welcomes us to the Chili carnival, stands, some decorations, giant statue of the pepper of quentazonio. Not enough content for a major event but enough to make it a decent mini event. But sadly..neither.

I just wish they didn't waste such a highly requested episode on a mini event. Chili cook off could've been a great big event.
I read this thread like "it was fine as it was, why complain?" But when you said that (as many people have said), I thought of how maybe they could have made the Wild West a minor event and had that switched with the Chiliad. I would have been cool with a WW minor event...and we all would have been happy with a Chiliad major event. Still, I thought it was fun.

Yeah, I imagined something like the Casino event, a bunch of different characters chili stands with different ways to generate the prize currency at each one.

I don't know what you just said, but yes. Very yes. I would love a major event based on the 8-bit game. Maybe like Tap Ball where there's a special action stage...and on that stage is where we could get our pixel on. Yes.
Here is my signature. Or maybe it's not.

I like minigames though. I have an idea for a minigame if they ever decide to do a "Who Shot Mr. Burns?" event. It could be a Nelson detective-type minigame where you have to find the character that's really Nelson in disguise. You send 5 or so characters of your choosing to some building and they stand around it doing one of their visual jobs. Based on the clues, you tap on the one you think is Nelson to win. It would be even better if they can duplicate that puzzle piece transition from "The Monkey Suit"

Perfectly flawless event. I don't understand why anyone would start a thread knocking this prize filled bonanza fans have been clamoring for for ages.

Unrelated.... Please don't check my topic history...

I didn't have a problem with a short event like this after the last one lasted so long. I just didn't quite understand the turtle thing at the end.
