You need another Krusty burges, before Pimento Grove I had 4 Krusty Burges and 3 GnBs. Now I "only" need 3 Krusty Burgers.

Try another Krusty burger.
I got 5 stars with lard lad. But otherwise have same as you listed
Me too, until I got bored
In addition to the "prestige" of getting a five star rating. How important is the extra 0.5% from an economical point of view?
Assuming you got all shops/restaurants available, you will need the following extras:
3 Kwik-E-Mart, 2 GnB, 2 Krusty Burger.
The cost to build these are 3 x 20 500 + 2 x 13 500 + 2 x 24 000 = 136 500 $
Quite a hefty investment, break even obviously depends on your daily income.
So how much do you make per day (before any bonus)?
10 000$ ? 0.5% -> 500 $ / day. Break even after 273 days...
25 000$ ? 0.5% -> 1 250 $ / day. Break even after 109 days...
50 000$ ? 0.5% -> 2 500 $ / day. Break even after 55 days...
75 000$ ? 0.5% -> 3 750 $ / day. Break even after 36 days...
100 000$ ? 0.5% -> 5 000 $ / day. Break even after 27 days...
Unless you have a stable income, the 5 star rating isn't about the extra money. But at lvl 25 and all quests completed, it at least another thing to do...
It has absolutely nothing to do with the financial aspect of it. Cash comes so easily in the game (which I say as a non-farmer and non-friend bonus exploiter). I have enough banked that I could readily buy all the extra franchises and still have well over half a million.
Its the aesthetic and practical aspect of the thing.
On the former, none of those buildings are so lovely (especially the Gulp n' Blow) that I'd want to pepper my town with multiples of them, nor do I think that any town with a lot of them look nice. No offence to anyone, but that's my opinion.
As for the practical rationale, a town the size of my Springfield would and should never have that many units of any franchise as there would not be enough people to work and support them -- they'd all fail. Call me crazy, but I prefer to build my town with some semblance of reason.
Well I do agree that from an aesthetic point of view, adding multiple shops and restaurants might have a negative effect, but I still think it is possible to incorporate them if you put some serious thinking into it... And when it comes to reason, Springfield isn't the ordinary small town. According to the Krusty Book there are 27 Krusty Burgers in Springfield, thats quite a few considering a population of 40 000.
No WAY am i having 27 Krusty burgers in my town
When the game has expanded enough that its reasonable that my Springfield might have 40,000 residents, then I might consider adding a second Krustys. Until then, no dice!
If you dont add a second krusty when the town expands to 40,000.....the queues to get in WILL be massive!!
Then each character could have a 3 hour tasks of "Wait in line to eat at Krusty Burger"!
I was at 5-stars for Gluttony for a long time. When the new update came around, I slipped to 4.5 stars until I finished the Pimento Grove. Then, magically, I was back to 5 stars. BUT, the Pimento Grove pays out with the "stack of dollars" icon above it which means that, even though it contributed to my Gluttony rating, it's no longer a "restaurant" and when I get one of those infernal tasks to click on 237 menus (or whatever), I won't be able to count Pimento Grove.
The same happened at Christmas when my Consumerism rating dropped until I built the Mapple Store and Try-N-Save. After those were complete I was back to 5 stars, but neither of them display the Cash Register icon when they pay out.
So confusing.
This irks me as well. Not that it makes a huge difference, since the "collect" quests are really just background noise. But I just cannot wrap my mind around their definitions.
