Congratulations to the Brexitters!!
I voted to leave as I feel that the EU has become far too large a body with too many members. There are over 500 million
people within the EU  I was quite surprised at the result though, as most of the people with the wealth here were wanting to remain, they have the most to lose by us leaving.
Good luck on your Nexit plans! Possibly other countries may now decide to have referendums too.

A Nexit? You must be one of those nujij'ers who shouts a lot on news sites without any basic knowledge. There is absolutely nothing to gain for us. We are one of the smallest countries in the world and by switching back to the old status we will have little to no say as well. There will be no advantage for foreign companies anymore to be in The Netherlands.
Everything we worked hard for for years in Europe is being destroyed by people with your short minded attitude. Disgusting.
They took our jobs!

Well done to the leave voters.

Yeah, of course. Couple of immigrants rush in and people start shouting. Leader of the short minded people, mister Wilders himself rushes in to say we should have ourselves a fancy Referendum as well.
Cause why bother with having a stable, profitable future when you can shout populist things and gain a few extra votes now, right?
Are you kidding me? Have you ever taken the time to actually check what you were doing and deciding without EU interference?
One advantage, that special Status you guys had will no longer undermine EU law.

The Bank of England have said that things won't happen right away we are still part of the eu for 2 years and in the meantime we will stop it getting out of hand. Don't believe too much what you have read a lot of it would have been to scare people into voting to stay.

Just say it straight like it is, mate. The foreigners. no EU has ever laughed in your face. Members have a high form sovereignty. Especially the UK. You were able to make a lot of your own laws. But, as with all unions, you had to take some of our laws into consideration as well. Such a tragedy, right?
But that's what you have been doing for years. Taking the advantages but crying and protesting every time you actually had to give something back.
If it's already dropped to its lowest in 3 decades I'd say that's having an effect right away. Once we leave properly it'll really hit the fan.
And people on benefits wont be happy cos they're no longer gonna be protected by EU law, so better hope Labour gets in next, else the poorer people will probably be even more screwed.
Don't bother. Every negative thing is just a lie to scare people into voting to stay.

It did drop but has steadied itself a bit and continue to do so.

No, that is not laughing in his face. That is giving him something that isn't normally possible. All the other EU members weren't able to do it. So why should the UK? But, then again, UK managed to get what they want as usual with their special status. Be it with a couple of "strings attached" or basic negotiation as we could call it.
But what happens? Brits start shouting again how it is an outrage that they got what they wanted while all the other EU members did not. What an outrage! They followed along in our thinking and did their best to give our government what they needed while other members aren't allowed to do it! Disgrace!
That's your logic, right there for ya, mate.
And a European army seriously......
We have Dutch friends and they are desperate to leave the eu as well.
No, I cannot be a part of a union so corrupt and with no integrity whatsoever and more to the point are unelected, yet a group of the unelected lock themselves in a room with no one to take minutes of the meeting to decide the fate of Europe.
Oh no, this sort of leadership takes us back to the them and us mind set. I mean to tell the UK we will be punished even if we leave or not, what's that about do they think we are school children?
We import a big percentage of vehicles from Germany, wine, cheese, fruit from France Italy and Spain to name but a few can those country's afford not to trade with us. It's a big world there's plenty who will be only to willing to take up the vacancies.
If the eu said they would go back to a trade only policy, then I would not have a problem, but until or if that happens........
Edited loads to try to make it friendly and not to political, apologise if I've failed.

But we get cheap prices BECAUSE we're in the EU. It's not that we won't cope, but prices will shoot right up. For example I just looked at all the fruit and veg in my fridge and even frozen veg in the freezer, and 90% comes from other EU countries. Even things we can grow here like broccoli were imported from Italy because it's actually cheaper to do that. I earn sod all so I literally can't afford for food to go up, let alone energy prices and everything else.
I bow down for your incredible wisdom. You're so awesome you even know I have no basic knowledge at all and shout at nujij. I wasn't even aware that I did! That just proves how dumb I am and how fantastic you are.
I do think it's adorable you think "we" in this small country currently have anything to say in the EU as it is. We've had two referendums with negative outcomes for the EU. In 2005 we voted "no" to a European constitution. Brussels/Strasbourg changed the name and forced the Lisbon treaty down our throats. Did you read both of them? Of course you did, because you obviously know what you're talking about. I read it too. As you point out I'm not very smart, so it took me quite some time and I found it REALLY hard to read. Imagine my surprise when I saw that the differences between the constitution and the treaty are marginal. You've read them, so you know that too. With the referendum last april our prime minister pretty much predicted the world would end if the Dutch would vote "no". Nothing happened. At all. Our PM is still "contemplating" what to do with the referendum and sulks against the parliament every now an then. So annoying when "the little people" have a different point of view on things. Can't they just vent their dumb little opinions on nujij and then shut up about them and let the smart people (the pro-eu's) tell them what to think? I actually don't mind if people have a different opinion. I don't attack them for having a short minded attitude or for being disgusting, like you just did. Perhaps that's all what remains when you don't really know any valid arguments?
Because, rest assured, everything "we" worked hard for will not be destroyed and the "they" that took your jobs, might have just been a little better qualified. The Netherlands has lots of very profitable businesstreaties with more countries outside of the EU than inside. The Netherlands also is a tax haven for foreign companies, and not just for European ones either. Why do you think that eighty (!!) of the hundred largest companies in the world, like Google, Starbucks, Microsoft, Ikea, Wal-Mart, Chevron, Samsung, Apple and A LOT of other "small" companies like the rockband U2 have settled in our country? Because of the cheese? Perhaps because they like flowers? No it must be because we're a part of the European Union! No. Because they hardly have to pay any taxes when they do. The companies will stay here, unless another country actually starts paying th?m to go to them and that's the point. Leaving the EU doesn't mean we'll be at war. We'll still import our chickenbreasts from and export our chickenlegs to Thailand and so on and so on. The stockmarket is having fun with the Brexit now. Nasty people are getting even wealthier, untill they find their new focuspoint. There will be new treaties with the European countries. Kind of like Norway and Switserland have. But of course Norway and Switserland are third world countries that hardly manage at all without the EU. Not like The Netherlands, who are so much smarter! Poor silly Norwegians and Swiss and Chinese, Japanese, Americans, Australians, Dubaians etc. etc. etc. They struggle so hard not being part of the EU. Just like Great Brittain will.
They're better than fine and so will we be.
Have a great weekend, full of happy tapping!
(apologies for the typo's and incorrect English, I have no time to reread, I have a deadline and have to focus now)
