Yes. I X'd the challenge and the next one up gave me donuts. The second one up usually isn't event related.

    I'm having the same problem with the Upgrade two fighters daily task. I can't complete the daily task because all of my fighters are at their maximum level.

    It's not an actual problem. Kill that task and take the alternative. With a bit of luck, you'll get donuts.
