Why hasnt the event been removed?

Update is available in the IOS store and Android will be available soon.

EDIT : Just checked Android update is now in store, can't answer for Kindle if that what you are waiting for.

It's not an in-game update. You need to update through the app store.

Sorry,i got it now.normally itll tell me the game needs to be updated manually via the notificantion trey at the top. Ive updated it now.

I am playing right now and I am still able to click on criminals and collect cans. Pointless now right?

Anybody else have problems with the update? The only thing that's changed is the splash screen. Criminals still running around; satellite still giving out cans, Alley still producing felons. I updated thru the store ap.

That sounds like you didn't have a complete (or a corrupt install). You may have to uninstall/reinstall.

I updated also on android, the splash screen changed but nothing else. Criminals and fights still remain. So I deleted and reinstalled the game and nothing changed.

KrustyBrand reported on a thread in B&I that they had the same problem. After approx an hour it did an in game install. Weird, but all I can recommend is wait?

Hopefully an in game update will happen like it did for the person you talked about. Thanks Ickabod for the new info.
