Gil deal with Future Maggie or The Forgotten Grave?

I was not compelled to get Grimey. I really didn't like him in the show. I also don't want another grave that much. But his animations are funny, what I've seen visiting neighbors.

But Maggie from the future i was compelled to buy. I never buy Gil deals. But for some reason i wanted her. Plus a concert arena? That sounded fun.

So i bought.

Well, I'm pretty disappointed in the dialogue of the quest line for her. Spoiler alert: she does not talk. They kinda beat the gag to death too.

And the arena looks more like the ship from Close Encounters. I may just design it to look like that too, just a ship surrounded by trees.

If you have an affection for a particular character, get them while you can. But if neither are really standing out, save your pink sprinklies for a future purchase you're spontaneously more excited about.

some quick prejudice, then, as requested:
Grave is usually one of the last characters people get around to. the grave itself isn't a building and for that price you can get more multiplier % by going with smaller donut purchases of 40 for 2%, etc. Plus, dude isn't one of the best loved or integral characters either. He does electrocute himself so he's got that going for him. If you need help getting done with prize tracks.... maybe consider him? With Maggie you get a flashy building + she's tall, dressed like it's the 80's punk scene, and works her pacifier as an adult (which they actually pulled off quite well as part of a party goer walking task). Uhhhh... I may be biased.

I would definitely go for Future Maggie. She's limited time, has decent animated tasks and comes with a neat rock stadium. You can buy the forgotten grave anytime you want, but you can manage without it if you're only buying it for event currency.

I regret buying Grimes at the start of this event because he doesn't have a 1 hour job. Looking at his normal quest line on one of the Wiki's, it looks like that's needed to unlock it. That questline doesn't trigger during this event so I'm not sure if he'll ever get a 1 hour job. That's frustrating for an expensive donut character

It's amazing how two different people could have such opposite reactions!

I've been loving the future Maggie dialogue but I believe there' a legitimate reason that
Future Maggie's not talking: see what I posted on another thread below.
To quote a pal of mine who's a Doctor, or whose name is The Doctor:

"Humans tend to think of time very linearly, when in fact time is really this timey-wimey wibbely-wobbly stuff."

So there's no real problem with having multiple selves wandering around from different times, or even pocket dimensions, as long as they don't try to interfere with fixed events in their own past because that could cause real trouble, like dimensional collapse or the destruction of the universe.

So as long as Springfielders don't succeed at saving their parents from a death that happened in their childhood, everything should go on smoothly. After all, who would be stupid enough to do something like... "Homer, stop it! Stop it right now!"

Future Maggie is unlikely to talk in the past for this reason because she is afraid of blowing up the Universe. But really, the chances of that are tiny.

Oh, and if you see a statue of a weeping angel coming near, back away slowly, and don't blink. ???

    Really, don't blink. ??????
Also, don't drink the Water on Mars...

This seems to be pretty good advice because this Doctor fellow nose, I mean he nose what he is talking about.

Oh, a pal of mine thinks this guy is actually a Green Lantern! Funny huh?

    And don't Blink! ??????

I love the Future Maggie quest line, and in my quest line she did talk. The stadium is fantastic when animated, and she continues to earn event currency at the end. Its one of the only Gil deals I have gone for and don't regret it a bit.

Grimes' quest did not trigger for me either. I just assumed that they put it on the back burner so we could go right to producing dark matter. Hopefully it triggers when this is all over.

It's always kind of annoying when they tell you to buy a premium character to help with the event and then you have all these tasks coming at you.

Future Maggie helps with the event after the quest line is over, same way as Homers at 66/4hours
