Gotta use multiple fingers for tapping in the mini-game. Hawk gets one finger all to himself (guess which! ) and fight off the other robots with another. Fortunately, the mecha hawk doesn't move, so he doesn't require any concentration.
I used the flash to kill the small robots and tapped the big one like crazy...didtn die, but no idea how many it took
I wasn't quite fast enough with the flash the first time and they swarmed me while I was trying to find the big guy. Caught me a little off guard.
Got him on the second try.
I had no problem beating him. But as soon as I got the You Won screen I lost contact with server.
So I came back in and played again. Beat him no problem. Then lost server!
So I did it a third time. This time no crash, but afterward the Hawking message came up again saying I had to defeat him, so I'm waiting 4 hours to beat him a 3rd time to move on.
Yoinkers.
I died straight away as well. I tapped he died and in the meantime the other robots destroyed me.....if anyone has a technique....I'm taking it.
@Icka, you should try it, you get a conversation between Lisa and Stephen. I won't tell you what they say, so you keep the suspense.
I died twice. Second time was a fix I had killed the big thing then did a flash which got all the robots but some how I still died.
The third time I just tapped like crazy and everything was ok. Funny thing was I only scored 28 robots worst ever. It was almost like you just jaf to tap loads of times but it didn't really matter what you were tapping.
Save your flashes. He returns
Seems like there's more flying guys to tap and they're faster this act, but the payout is the same or a bit less.
DeesToonTown in Crawl to the Finish #The Grumple Is Free!
He always shows up with 10 seconds left in the battle, so just be ready for him. He's shown up at the same spot each time for me, but not sure if that's the same for everyone. If so, just be ready to tap that spot a bunch of times at the 10s mark and it should be no problem.
I have to report that this tapping mini game is much easier with a larger device.
I usually play on a 7" tablet. I've never failed to protect the polyvac. Usually i have zero damage.
But I'm trying to get used to playing on a Galaxy S4 phone. I've been failing out miserably! There's just not enough space so they close in faster.
So if you can, use a larger screen device!
I think you are right.
I'm playing in a 12.9" iPad Pro and I have never had any problem tapping every single robot.
My PolyVac have never been in any real danger of being damaged.
I have only used the one flash that a quest ask me to use.
What is the point of tapping it out? The 2 times I've had mecha hawk or whatever it's name is I've received the "you won" with the same currency prize (within 10-20 I'm guessing) and the "you killed X robots" usually 32-35 with no flash. And I was inside the same ranges as before the mecha thing. So what does it give you or do or, other then tapping it with the others I see no difference in the game or winnings.

Am I missing something?
Same here. I play on a tablet and the only time any damage comes through is if I miss a robot coming straight down from under the timer,
According to the questline it takes 10 taps to destroy him.
