Can't visit friends' cities

Same thing here, its been weeks, i want to help my friends, have closed the app, gotten updates etc, still no luck anybody else out there??

I just received this problem tonight. Game spits me out with a server retry everytime I try to access my friends towns.

I wonder if deleting and reinstalling would work?

Does deleting the game erase your progress or is it saved on the server? :?:

All my progress is there just cant help my friends, i miss spray painting the school. Would love to steal a lemon tree, i have cloed the app and reopened it still no luck.wonder what would work,,,,,,

I tried to uninstall and install the game again, but it doesn't worked at all. It's a shame, unfortunelly.

Same thing is happening with me. Started on Friday when 1 specific friend caused a crash when I tried to view their city.
Then on yesterday morning I get cannot connect to server when I try to click the visit friends button.
Deleted and reinstalled game (no loss of data) but didn't help
Anyone have a clue what is going on?

same problem here. it is been a month that i can't visit any friend. EA you have to fix this problem, this is not a good advertising for your company!!!

Same issue. I haven't been able to visit friends since we received the race car. It crashes each time I try.

Some problem here- been trying to visit friends Springfields for a week now. Each and every time I get the "cannot connect to server" error. Tried multiple reboots and uninstall/reinstall with no avail

I sent an email to EA, but the answer doesn't made me any happy: they told me to reconnect, change from Wi-Fi to 3G (and vice-versa), reinstall the game and etc... As we know, all bull****, because obviously it doesn't worked at all!
This bug is a real pain in the ***!!!
I think I'll uninstall the game for good!

Ive had the same issue and i have reloaded the game 4 times since sunday. i get the notifications that friends have visited me but i cant get to them

I have this same problem, and it was the reason why I signed up on this site.

It's really disappointing that they haven't fixed this yet, as it seems to be a problem since launch.

yes having the same problem too, the game plays ok but when i visit other Springfields it crashes. annoying!

Having the same problem now for about a week. Wish someone from EA would address this on here. Nothing any of us are doing seems to help. For me it coincidentally started soon after I updated my operating system on my iPhone.

Hey EA, any chance for a response??? Would really like to visit friends while the Halloween stuff is going on in the game. Was seriously thinking of buying some donuts as a thank you for this being a free game, but will likely only do so if I can play the full version.

I FOUND A SOLUTION!!

Unfortunately this is not a good solution, but it´s a solution, anyway
I realized that the game started to * me off after adding some new friends, so I was thinking "maybe this is the problem"... Well, I deleted the majority of my friends, leavin' just 8 random friends, and guess what? THE GAME FINALLY WORKED!

I don't know if this will help anyone else, but hey, this worth a try! I know this is really annoying, since you'll have to delete friends, one by one, but as least you'll have your game back in action again!

To delete your friends, just go to the "Origin" icon -> My Friends -> Tap friend's name -> Click on the "Profile" button -> Tap on the "+" symbol -> Tap on "Remove Friend"

Please let me know if this worked with you, too!

This worked for me when after the game started crashing since joining tappedoutfriends. I deleted EVERYONE except 1 person I actually know. It worked. I then added 2 more friends for a quest and it still worked. Then one day it just stopped working again.

If this is a fix, it's only temporary.


EDIT: Just did it again, it works. But again, I only have 1 friend now.

Made a list of all my friends and then deleted all but a dozen and now IT WORKS!! I was crashing every time I even tried to go to another Springfield, and about every 60-90 seconds while playing. Now it doesn't crash at all. Hopefully EA will get around to fixing this so we can get all our friends back someday

Omg! Thank you! I was crashing and not able to go to my friends. I cut down from 50 ( I know a lot) to 18 and now I can go to my page.

Thanks as well! I don't know what the magic number is for friends, but I deleted half. I went down to 39 friends and I can visit others now. No more crashes or server errors! Thanks!

I only had 4, deleted 3 and it worked. I now have 4 again and it still works. I don't think there is a magic number, any change must fix it.

I can confirm this works too. I first went down from about 55 to 30, but it still didnt work, then to 25 and that didnt work either, so i went all the way down to 8 friends and the game works again, . Has anyone tried re-adding friends to see if the problem comes back?
