I just got a 2nd Anniversary badge as well as a Level 5 badge.

I take it that this is a pointless new addition to the new look forum and is best ignored. Or am I missing something ?

Just one of those pointless features that some people seem to love as it can give some bragging rights.

They are a bit cornballish, but at least it doesn't come up on every page. Kind of like getting participation trophies for nothing. Like getting stickers in Kindergarten.

I think the badges add an element for many of the younger players, so it's all good.

well to be fair many of us made our own badges for our signatures on the old forum

I miss them so much!! I've been really busy for some time, so I hadn't had time to construct my own personal chain (which I remember we had to do to loophole the sig character limit), but was really looking forward to doing it.... now it's gone, replaced by badges that are more impersonal, are focused on the forum, not the game itself, and that you can't show to other people with pride. It was pride, and not bragging!! Honest!!

P. S. is that drop down list really all the emojis there are?!! Man.... I really don't like this new forum style!!!!

Yeah, new is usually nice but kinda think I liked the old version in how it seemed more consolidated & streamlined... this is a bit too spread out & overly spacial

@AOFIGO009 , there is a list of smilies here that muhsterino put together. It would be nicer if we had something to choose from rather than going through the alphabet, but this is what we have so far.
