Like so many people here I bought all 5 huts precisely for the amazing multiplier and I ground away to get all the add-on pieces; I might have bought 1 hut at this new cost / multiplier combination.
We know that EA closely monitor these forums and are quick to jump on and squash any bugs and glitches that benefit the players, so why did they leave this active for so long ?
If it was a mistake on their part they should have taken the hit and learned from it; all they've achieved by acting this way is to seriously p*** off their loyal and long-suffering customers. Even by EA's standards of customer care this is a sh***y move.
Doing it now has also taken some of the shine off the THoH 2016 event before I've even got going (and seeing it runs for 41 DAYS has already made me wonder how much time I'm going to devote to this event).
EA: Do the right thing and reinstate the multiplier to the original purchased level !
Signed as well. That's the reason I bought all five. Ridiculous how they just change it on a whim with no explanation. Just fleecing people is apparently what EA is all about now. Shameful.
Signed. I am very upset I spent 200 donuts for something and it has been removed. I am a premium player and spend a good amount of money on events. This is ridiculous. I won't spend real money anymore if this isn't made right and I believe most on this thread are with me on this.

I feel there well within their right to raise the xp level to 10mill (I to think its weak but whatever) but to take away a PREMIUM PURCHASE (aka real money) value after everyone has bought them is straight up fraud. Not spending another dime and considering it to be the end. Way to overshadow the most look forward to event with this kind of f**k overy
Best resolution is EA help. Choose live chat and tell them whats up. I signed, yes, but the only way any of us are going to get compensated is to do it individually through the help center. I told them how I felt about the hideaway debacle and they promptly returned my donuts and let me keep that monstrosity. Unfortunately we need to go through the proper channels to get resolution.
Doesnt make it right but at least I got my refund.

I just went the email route, see if it does anything. Way to start the most look forward to event of the year with a total negative vibe. Really took the gusto out of the event for me. I notice its 41 days long to, nothing like having a halloween event half way through **** November. Good job EA, you done real good

I'm sorry to hear that because of the Halloween update they’ve adjusted the multiplier from 20% to 5% and yes I know that this is very huge amount of XP and I really apologize for this however for in-game purchases such as your request, we cannot process since you're already used the donuts in-game and we're not able to retrieve it. Hope you understand and once again, I'm really sorry
Harsh Willy I understand that Beach hideaway XP multiplier was removed/changed after installing Treehouse of Horror. We received an update from studio and they has decided to revert this change.
Harsh The Beach Hideaway bonus will go back to what it was before the THOH update with a patch scheduled to go out today.

Harsh The Beach Hideaway bonus will go back to what it was before the THOH update with a patch scheduled to go out today.

It's also a complete rip-off- so people who complained early get their $$ refunded and the bonus back - Thats Hardly fair..... I hate EA for just these types of things
