PETITION - EA, refund our Donuts spent on Beach Hideaways!

Replies

  • Signed. Purchased all 5. Please avoid bait-and-switch business practices at all costs.
  • Yeah. This is essentially the misrepresentation of goods.
  • Signed.

Bought all five. Might've gotten one regardless, but I decided to spend a little bit of actual money to get the full 100% (all five, an additional four). This is an unacceptable move by EA. I say, give a full refund to all those who want it and a 50% refund to EVERYONE who bought Beach Hideaways.

Off-topic: first-time poster, but long-time stalker of this forum, here.
  • SIGNED :/ Bought all 5. Why the bait and switch, that's unethical.
  • Signed. I would love to have my 200 donuts back, if possible.
  • I agree. This isn't the deal I bought into.
  • Yes! Signed!

Just went to the contact ea page, filled out their erediculous survey of questions, added

"I am extremely angry at the bait and switch tactics used by EA and developers in TSTO Hidaway Beach properties. I paid, through iTunes, who I'll also be contacting, for donuts the games premium currency of almost 200 donuts to buy the premium items. They were to have 20% multipliers and cost 40 donuts each. I would never have spent my money for what they have become! The only reason I bought them was that %. I strongly believe our money needs to be returned. I will be taking this issue to iTunes, Capital One Bank, and the BBB
What you have done is unscrupulous and illegal. You sold a product with a said description then after purchase changed the item to something we would not have bought to begin with.

Either refund our monies or return the items to their previous description for which they were purchased under.". In the "further feedback" field, hit Submit and guess what!!! Page locked up and only said "This page can not be found".

    Unbelievable. Gonna keep trying.
If they are now saying this was supposed to happen it's an illegal bait n switch. What you said is correct. Contact iTunes/play store and file it with them. If they don't correct it go to the credit card company. They most likely will give you your money back if you purchased donuts through them if it was linked to your store. If you didn't go to the BBB.

    Signed.

Did you just buy the donuts to get the beach hideaway? If not - iTunes will give you a hard time, they can't see you've been holding donuts since the last purchase... you may still get the refund from them - but you will have to argue

  • @menopsycho Welcome! No better time to post than in mass uprising. :naughty:
  • Huh? I've just bought one, how do you know the bonus xp isn't valid anymore?
  • Signed.

I only purchased one. But I did talk some of my friends into buying them, too. Now I feel like I've misguided them. :(

  • Signed. I bought the first because of it, but that would have been fine to fix the "glitch" on one. The second purchase was purely for the bonus! Gimme gimme!
Here is my signature. Or maybe it's not.
  • Anyone who does post to BBB- can you please add your ticket number here - so we can also reference it in our follow-up ones if we go that route our-self?
