Monster timer glitch

Once the update hit I was able to send 3 characters to fight monsters. After they finished their fights the timer said said no more monsters in my town and had a 4 hour count down. Well my timer just jumped from 1 hour and half left back up to 3 and a half hours. This update has been terrible. This is the Halloween event, my favorite time to play the game and between the bonus % fiasco and the XP nerf and now this i have to say this is extremely disappointing. Come on EA....

My kids are about to finish trick or treating, so it's been 4 hours since I finished my first round of monster fights and yet I still have 2 hours and 45 minutes to go. What a mess!

I've been having the same problem since the first round cleared. My timer seems to reset to 3 hrs 38 min each time I log into the game. Not a good start.

I've been having a similar, but different problem. After finishing my initial 4hr monster fights & trick-or-treaters, it said there were no more monsters and the time remaining was 2h 02m. So, I sent my trick-or-treaters on their tasks and decided to come back to the game a bit after 2 hours to set the monster fights. However, when I returned 2+ hours later, the timer was at 1h 56m remaining - it had barely moved. I decided to just let it go and come back in 2 hours time to reset my trick-or-treaters again and (hopefully) the monster fights.... I just checked in and the counter is 1hr 52m minutes. I think it stops ticking down once I close my town. This is VERY frustrating.

Edit: I just went back to my town to check something else and the timer is now saying 3h 35m remaining. So it's jumping around on me too now.

Mine is bouncing back and forth between 2.5 -3.5 hours. I've only been able to fight the first set of monsters.

I'll just add my voice here too. After the first round of fights (3 of them) my timer as never counted all the way down. Instead it is jumping around seemingly to random times ever time I log in. I'm on the latest version of iOS. Hope this is resolved soon.

Same here. Got excited as At 2am I only had an hour left for the monsters when I went on it it said 1 hour and 20 mins. Now it says 2 hours 50 mins =(

On android, just finished my first round of 3 characters, showed I had 2hrs 15 mins. Waited for 30 minutes to check after reading about this glitch, now my timer says 3hrs 57min.
