UPDATE: EA really do listen! The 1,000,000 XP is BACK! :D

Well, today EA has slapped us in the face by removing the Beach Hideaway bonus, and now increasing the level up requirements at 939+ by 900%!

You now need 10,000,000 XP to level up at 939 and get the three donut boxes, instead of the previous 1,000,000 XP required.

So, with that said, how are you going to XP farm after these brutal changes? Are you going to stop XP farming for good? Continue grinding those KEMs? Still have your collider on 24/7? Farm rat trap trucks whenever you've got the cash?

Let me know and hopefully, we can find a new strategy to get players to the 10 million XP mark!

  • This must be a quick "fix" for, you know, that other XP glitch that is (or was) good for us, and I guess/hope they probably reduce it to 1 million again once they fix that other, harder to fix glitch...

My hope as well. 10,000,000 xp won't give me enough donuts to pay for the collider, so if that number remains I have little incentive to collect xp

  • Is the glitch technically still active?? If you are willing to repeat the task x20 for each Bonuts game.
  • It's a disgrace. XP farmer invest donuts in multiplier items to raise efficiencies, only to be screwed afterwards. The game lost its appeal over night. Thanks EA.
  • Let's all chill for a while ... The glitch was giving 500,000xp every game synch so level updates and free donuts. The 10,000,000 XP level ups was to curb use of the glitch. It's likely the cost to level ups will be reduced.
  • I spent a bunch of time earning bonuts today. I had zero donuts at the start of this event, but I wanted to buy all the Halloween premium items, so I had to grind about 800 donuts. Took a couple of hours, off and on.

First I tried KEM farming, but that slowed down my phone too much. Then I switched to Rat trap trucks(RTT) which worked ok, but the double donut did not seem to work. I realized half way though that I should buy extra chances on the donut game. Muscle memory makes it hard for me to do this, so I keep forgetting to buy extra chances.

I guess the outline of how I will earn donuts will be: collider on 24/7, double donut if I can, and rat traps to do most of my leveling up, buy extra chances on the donut game.

Remember 10 million xp is how much it use to take to level up, it was like that for years. Going back to the old requirements should not be surprising.
  • Well I won't be spending any more donuts on the xp collider while the xp level is that high.
They've really **** up here, they've lost money from me. I used to drop a few quid every week to top up my free donuts. Now they're being reduced, there's no point spending a fiver here or a tenner there, because it won't be enough to get the stuff I want.
  • Until (hopefully!) they change the XP bar for me the XP Collider now seems somewhat redundant. On a standard tapping day, I'd never recoup the donuts I've spent on charging the collider with this new patch. Mine has 23 days left to run on it's current charge. Am keeping everything crossed something changes before it runs out.

    wow
i fear that playing this game will not make sense after reaching this level
donut farming is the only thing that intermediate players can aspire towards

Not possible. Max is 10 days for 25 donuts.

You can buy 3 x 10 day bundles straight after each other :) I believe the max you can have is 30 days.

    40 days for 100 donuts.

I don't understand why they raised it so high. Yes, it was 10 million before the update, but that's only if you had already leveled up a bunch of times. I think the starting point was around 2.5 million. If EA wants a compromise, that would be a fair starting point. A lot of people would drop out of the super user category, but people could still aspire to reaching some point while playing. Now I'm not sure why I should care about buying items with bonuses.

Now the only thing to do in this game is collect money, which is boring.

exactly, look at this event, only 2 items released that cost "cash", pumpkin and pumpkin patch, both returning items. there is no incentive to click just to make cash when there are no level updates and nothing to spend cash on. devaluing XP just discourages long time users from continuing to tap/play. at least with the 1m XP level up one could log in multiple times per day and aspire to earn a premium item every now and then. 10m does not make it worthwhile for most.

accumulating XP to one day be a proper donut farmer was my goal in this game....dunno how to proceed now that it has been taken away from me

there's less desire to even save millions of dollars...this could be the beginning of the end

    Level 939.
No disrespect but while donuts are great- designing your town is what it is all about right? Are you all still enjoying that aspect? I've seen some comments saying that the game isn't fun anymore since you can't farm donuts... Donut farming wasn't fun either. Believe me, I have (and will) taken advantage of farming and various glitches but I get more fun out of seeing my town and designing it.

Calm down something like this happened before and it was fixed.

I'm with you I'm using this as a chance to buy new land and move some stuff to its new home. I'm sure it's a short term set back that will have long term positive effects.

This. I farmed and my town looked like garbage with me throwing items anywhere I could place them. I nuked my town last week and moved on from donut farming. So much happier now that I'm not grinding out donuts.
  • I love the design aspect- that is the game...

That said, 10mil is way too high and screams they want us to Buy donuts not Earn them.... they must be losing too much even with a lot of us still buying to top off the stash. :|
Not sure what I will do to the D farming situation - but design is the thing for the moment
PM me- I DO need Good Neighboreenos currently
