Homer Issues

Is anyone else having this problem - Homer isn't in my list of possible fighters for the giant monsters. I only have Apu, Cletus, Krusty, and Skinner. After the first one he defeated for his task, he disappeared off the list and hasn't been back on since. Any ideas?

Same here. I just assumed that was intended.

Same here, just figured that was how the game was supposed to go.

it seems homer was only used for the first fight I would assume that this is intended since its usually Homer or Lisa that starts the quest chains.

As above, guessed that he was only supposed to fight the first monster and then it's up to some other springfielders to pick up the slack.

I'm glad. That leaves Homer free for other stuff.

I emailed EA about it and they were unsure whether it was intended that Homer be available only first fight or not. Here is their response:

Dear sakurasquirrel,
thank you for contacting Electronic Arts customer support team.
My name is Veronika and your case has just reached me.

I have read the history of the ticket.

we have tested the same thing here with the same result, we can't use him either. So I wonder it he's actually available to anyone at all or whether it is working as intended.

Either way, please post into the forums too. Feedback from the forums goes to the developers teams in the studio and they are the only ones, who can actually fix this in case it is a bug. Or they can inform the forum administrators that this is indeed working as intended.
One way or another, the more people will post about this in the forums, the higher priority gets this case in the eyes of those,w ho can actively change anything in the game.

Homer doesn't have anything else to do at the moment, and it would be nice to have another fighter especially since you can double up on some monsters.

Yes, I could really use another fighter. About half of my spawns are monsters that require 2 fighters, and I am only able to play 3 times a day so the monsters do pile up. Having Homer would be helpful as he is not currently tied up with anything.

He may become available when more then one character can fight a monster. Just a guess.

I just got to the part of the questline that explains this.

In typical Homer fashion, he's more worried about acting like he's fighting as the star of Lisa's movie rather than actually fighting to save the town
