Training Walls Necessary In A Post-Sideshow World?

I've been rearranging my town quite a bit and I've been shocked by how many training walls I've had hidden behind stuff. Back in the day, Bob would show up and your star rating would take a hit. Since he became a playable character that hasn't been a problem. I've been selling a lot of them off, in the interest of avoiding the building cap, and I've still kept my 5-star rating.
Can we finally start purging these invisible eyesores knowing that we no longer have to be paranoid about a random multiplier change?

@Muhsterino Actually, I do. I made a theater out of them for the Terwillegers. Has anyone experienced a
Ahh, i've said it before and will say it again, they were never necessary.
I keep only one out for Lou's task (or is it Eddies?)
I began playing a year ago, when i started i was explained a couple simple concepts:
Their is a maximum amount of decorations/buildings that can be placed
A 5 Star rating Town is better than a 4 Star rating (Duh)
Graffiti can lower your neighbors rating (however its the only way to get payout in certain buildings)
Training walls can increase your righteousness rating by a couple points.
My point?
Even in the beginning it was clear to me that vandalizing a players town was silly, unnecessary and a tad mean, 5 star rating gives you a higher multiplier, the multiplier affects all payouts, why lower the rating and thus multiplier of someone elses town for 1 simple payout, a measly one at that? (not to mention, causing players to flood there towns with training walls which count towards the item limit)
If it paid out similar to Corn, then by all means! However thats not the case.
So, OP you are right, they are not necessary in our current state, but they are a means to temporarily undo the damage of vandalism, remove the ability to vandalize, and training walls will never need to be purchased ever again.
(If they did, they'd be gone...that's for sure!)
My righteousness dipped with the Halloween update for the first time in a long time. I had to bring a bunch of walls back out of storage to fix it.
Ok
I like a good tagging as well!
Sadly I can't graffiti either one of you currently. You will have to settle for sneaky surveillance.
Survival of the fittest. I like it!
.....
I like the voyeurism in the event
Interesting, mine keep their crayons on their papers. That said, because I hadn't been vandalized in ages I thought they removed it. I don't find grafitti very interactive, I just annoying. I would however love it if they would bring back the stealing of neighbors' lemon trees, which they removed before I started this game.
I don't care if people vandalize. If they do and somehow that affects my rating... what is that, equivalent to not even a burning bush that we get for free? But, then I can just add more walls if I just like the look of 5 stars (and I do). Yes, Nero's Walls, much better. I don't usually vandalize other towns unless I'm in a mood (half-good/half-bad). Does everyone remember how upset people were when the monorail event allowed us to "dump" on the buildings? lmao! Even vandalism that didn't affect any rating upset people. This is why we need a special day to fix this problem. I think it would be awesome to have a vandalize day (unofficial). Vandalize the world!
Um... Graffiti IS part of the "paper", it's part of the game.... Your neighbors just only color in the part you approve of...
Like I said, It's no skin off my nose to have an occasional vandalism - so easy to combat with hidden walls, why care?
No, the Lemon tree stealing was Not as cool as it sounds- Unless you like having your $$ stolen from you - thats basically what is was - $ stolen from you, now you steal from someone else - Ha, Ha, fun, right? No - thats why it's gone.....
