What's your Fear?

Prev1345678
Close to Halloween, and I'm always curious on these things.......... What are you afraid of?
It can be Sensible or Not - This is meant to be a share that hopefully no one will make fun of anyone in here for. And if you know, or think you know origins - why?

My start-
I am scared to death of Clowns. Yes, clowns- they're evil.
How scared? This whole creepy clowns thing going around is dangerous - I would stab a clown creeping around me in the night.......... Manageable most times - but not like that.
Why?
I've narrowed it down to having this clown my great-grandparent sewed me on the end of my bed- I always Disliked it. Around the time I remember really starting to not like this clown (dating my age here) Poltergeist came out on video. Now, of course I was Not allowed to watch - but little did my parents know I could watch tv after "going to bed" on a picture on the wall that bounced it perfectly to me - so, I watched it.... This clown(that looked similar to mine) pulls the kid under the bed attacking him. I hated the clown(and lightning storms for a while).
They paint on their expressions - which I find creepy, and perhaps psychotic... Add a little Pennywise, and other terrible clowns - and it equals Anna fears Clowns.

Thanks all in advance if you share - I look forward to some interesting Fears before Halloween

  • I'm afraid of heights.
I'll do them if I have to, but I sweat onion juice out of my hands and feet when I'm high up.
Tall buildings, flying, cable cars, fairground rides.
    Brrrr.

  • Crossing Long streets. I always try to cross a street quickly. I often get the sensation that I will get run over; even If there is a pedestrian light.

Not a fear per se, but clowns make me uncomfortable. I was more fond of magicians as a kid.

I have two fears but I don't find either of them irrational  I don't like heights. I am ok if I am protected like in a building or plane but if there isn't protection I am terrified. I am also scared for the people around me and worry that they are going to fall. I also am claustrophobic. I get very anxious is small places or when I feel trapped.

I also have an irrational hatred not necessarily fear of anything dressed up in mascot type costumes. Whenever I see one, I feel like I need to push them over. I am not sure why but my family knows to keep me away from them.

Fear of a bug crawling around in my ear, spider in particular but any any any bug.....
    My county going dry...
Going to grand canyon and monkey deciding to go to the other side of the railing and playing around then falling....thank you Superman whatever movie at was that spawned that fear.....
Being surrounded by people and not having much of a way out...
Not a fear but I honestly hate being touched....couple of the girls I work with are in competition of who can poke me the most and I get pretty pissed about it...or they try to hug me....then the other day I was at the bar and some random drunk woman started patting my back, needless to say I decided to leave after that....

  • My fear is spiders. They are the Devils minions and it is war anytime I see them. Even if I see a photo I feel like I can feel something crawling on me. I try to kill them while being far away. Have lots of cans in different locations of spider killer. The other day there was this creepy, fast spider on the mirror to my fellas truck on my side. I rode the next 25 or so minutes with my finger locked in place pulling up on thewindow tab because he started to roll the window down "so I could kill it". I cried and cussed a lot. I hate them. I hate them. I hate them. I know they are useful they help control the insect population and all but I **** hate them. They are smart and evil killers.
    WHY?
I believe it is because when I was a young girl a brown recluse bit my mother on her forearm and her cheek scarring her for life.. in her own bed, in her own home. No place is safe. I found out that brown recluse release venom that dissolves tissue so they can **** drink it.

See that's one of my problems - It's like he didn't know how to finish the book - eh, it's a big spider now....................

I guess I'm afraid of the unknown. Going to a new place the first time gets me. Nerves kick in and my mind goes to the worst case scenario and it doesn't stop until I face it.

Just discovered that I have xenophobia.
  • Swimming in murky water...sharks, alligators, snapping turtles, leeches...I just want to know it they are there so I can stay away, but if the water isn't clear my imagination goes a bit nuts.

Ha. I suppose it is in a way. Thing is it's a fairly recent phobia...I think brought on from watching the show River Monsters. The things that guy pulls out of rivers are R rated monsters for real. :fearful:
