I hear Homer whispering "hey, i think he's talking about YOU"
But I agree.
In fact, every time i Read something negative in here, i feel compelled to reply with something even more negative, in order to express my dissatisfaction with their negativity. It's like a reflex.
It was probably me telling that person up there to come fight me in my home town. That sounds like something ridiculously absurd that i would reply to someone being negative to begin with. It has to be ridiculous though, or else it wouldn't be funny. I'll say anything, the crazier the better.
I mean, anything i say in reply has to be So stupid that it can't be taken seriously, which is the exact way that i feel about their original negative comment.
That's the point, i want them to know that ive accepted their invitation to stoop to their level. That's the only way to return the favor of irritating me with their negativity in the first place.
Remember people, trolling is screwing with reasonable people to arouse them negatively.
Screwing with people who came here to post negatively and arouse others, is called retort. If you have a problem with that, well i recommend a medium which does not allow replies in dynamic group conversation.
Because this isn't a bulletin board for people to create a thread and vent, and everyone just nods acceptingly. That's a SUPPORT GROUP.
This is a discussion forum and replies are expected. Anyone posting should be open to a wide spectrum of responses. But anyone posting negative should expect negativeness, just as anyone posting positive should expect - both.
So I'm not making any apologies for responding in kind to negative comments. I didn't want to. They made me do it.
And, while i could have just not replied, i wasn't about to let EVANT take all the heat. Did you really not expect any negative responses to this thread??? Hah! Come on!
p.s. anyone replying negatively to this is a hypocrite.
Oho! NOW who's all pouty? I got you. And... i got your nose! No you can't have it back!
Bwahahahahahahahahahaha! #lightenupfrancis #rainbows #unicorns
All my designs look unfinished because i can't place as many plants, streetlights, and fences as i would like. PLEASE REMOVE THE LIMIT, EA!

im going to be honest, i didnt even read more than 5 words in the original post and i definitely didnt read any of the replies, so my level of mental and emotional involvement in this thread is quite minimal lol
People who, like me, spend more time reading looking for advice or tips, will often sign up to post a complaint or ask a question when they have a problem needing fixed. Hence an overload of perceived negativity. It's not really, but for many there is not much to say when everything is going well.

IT's true this is a discussion an open forumn for differing opinions...but i say this:
ITs not difficult to be nice, in fact its much , much easier to be mean spirited and speaking without a filter, but being nice isnt so difficult either.
ITs easy to deal with people who share your opinions, it may be an interesting debate discussing things with people with opposing opinions but remaining civil within these discussions is completely possible and doable.
I try to re-read my post before i submit them to avoid...unpleasantness......
That however is my opinion, whether you agree or disagree with it , i leave that to you, their is nothing i dislike more than someone who forces their opinion on others.
Definitely a good thread to have! I've been around here a while now, and although I find it difficult to differentiate sometimes between someone who is just sarcastically joking or someone who is being serious I just go by poster names and at least that way I know who the usual jokers are everyone else I take with a pinch of salt and reserve judgement on until it's just not funny anymore. Those posters I then happily ignore!
This thread confirms that there are older generation of people that contribute and play TSTO. Heartless trolling is a internet way of life. I'm glad there is a diverse crowd keeping the servers on for a repedative 4-year old game. RIP EA mobile Monopoly
I'm going to be pretty honest, though I don't read every post or thread, I find the majority of forum people are not negative but helpful, funny, and interesting in their comments, then in the minority there is the sarcastic, giving a dig etc. Folk see negatives when it begins to blow out of proportion, such as two people playing **** for tat.
But overal folk it's a good friendly forum.
I initially didn't respond to this thread because I wasn't sure if it was slightly directed towards a comment I made defending the OP of another thread a few minutes beforehand. If it is directed towards that comment I realized afterwards that some may read it as harsher than intended but i will leave it as it is because I feel it's an important message for some people (many of which have responded here also with random comments)
I completely agree with you Anna, the negativity around here does get terribly bad at some points and it usually just repeat offenders who refuse to accept they are wrong or constantly repeat the same boring "jokes" but thankfully the majority of us actually contribute to posts and help each other out.
That being said if anyone ever thinks that I have something unnecessarily harsh please call me out on it either in the thread or through a pm because sometimes it's just my wording that makes it read worse than I intended and I would like to clarify myself.
I try to help when replying to peoples questions with factual answers. I agree Anna that comments from some people can overstep the mark sometimes. Any newcomers should read the forum rules before posting.
I've been using forums for many years and have noticed that negativity seems to come in waves, you seem to see a sudden increase in it then slowly it fades away only to reappear at a point in the future, personally I have been on much much worse forums than this although in all honesty over the many years I've possibly just got that used to seeing it that I seem to automatically skip over the negative stuff and ignore it so it's quite probable that I miss lots of it as my mind skips it, anyway I seem to be going off track it would be great to see no negativity but suspect that it's not something that is attainable in the real world.
Disagreeing is normal. If we all thought the same way, life would be so boring. But it is incumbent for all of us to take our individuality into perspective. Before you post something, think about it. Disagreement is not the same as gain saying. Referring to someone instead of to their thoughts trolling. You may not like what they say, but both you and they have the right to say it. But YOU DO NOT HAVE THE RIGHT TO SAY THINGS ABOUT THEM AS A PERSON!
Your opinion is inherently YOURS. Trying to bully others into being of your opinion will and should not be tolerated.

Facebook had to give 4 positive/neutral Reactions, and only 2 negative ones, to weight things towards the positive.
