Can't you just log out of the account and log in with your old info?

Did you try killing the app from the multi tasking bar. Restart the app, then sign into our account? I just tried it on mine and it worked for me.

+1...killing the app is the way I access the log in screen.

By going to the friends list of the new city and logging on there? Will that load my old city? Sorry to sound like a moron but I remember others losing their cities when they did something similar to that, so I'm hesitant to do that before asking here.

You can't login from that screen. You have to log in when the game starts. If it already started the anonymous game, you have to play completely through the tutorial.
Best choice is what is already suggested. Completely close the game and restart. If that does not help, try deleting the app and reinstall.
You don't lose your game untill you create a new account and accept the level 1 town as yours.

Yea, go through the tutorial. Then close out the app with the double tapping home button method. U should be able the see the Origin logo in the bottom left corner of the start screen after that.
