Question about item limit

Do the roads and pavement count as decorations ? Every so often I get the message that I am at the limit for decorations in my town so I go about storing more trees, flowers, etc. I probably have more decorations in storage than in my town by now.

Roads and pavement don't count but bridges DO, so be wary of having a lot of water crossings. If you're really pressed for items, try selling off brush, flowers and anything else that has a sales price.
