Sorry I see this was just asked, Lisa posted just before me.
Using only Other Springfeild as a judge (as I can't visit anyone else yet) I tapped on three buildings, can't remember which, and only received one heart.....
So is is one per town visit? Is it one per building, depending on the building, or other? Or has anyone really figured it out yet?
Please accept my first Valentine of the season as a heartfelt thank you for your wonderful contributions to this forum.
May all newbies respect your efforts and give you praise my friend.
From one angel to another and you really are an angel.
Thank you!
Thanks for the kind words, nettangel! Please note, I would have also accepted this type of "angel on angel" action:

I think it matters if there's a person doin a quest in that building
So what buildings do you click on?
That's horrible ratios, 1 heart for 3 clicks.
Has anybody been able to figure out the magic combination yet? What to click to get 3 hearts?

Me thinks its random, one town I visited didn't even give me a heart.
I do have another quest, maybe it is a side quest(?):
Valentine's Goodies Pt. 1 - Place a Valentine's Tree
So it looks like we shouldn't just buy what we like, we might need to save our Hearts for specific purchases...
Well done Simpsons! I look forward to reading this one day.
Escalator to Nowhere - $1,000,000 - can build anytime
Popsicle Stick Skyscraper - $2,000,000 - can build anytime
In case anyone is wondering, these both take 3 days to build.

Yes, except for one question. The biggest FAQ seems to un-addressed.
I find this unacceptable!
